Any other day I'd crack a joke, but since one of judges dropped out because she was sexually harassed at work, with a male co-worker right there who did nothing, and she just couldn't look at men anymore this week or here after, I feel it my duty to say that this thread was just for fun. Not power, not to flip the script, but literally just for fun. It's sort of stopped being fun.

Fighting these guys in the moment is probably the worst solution. Don't need to fight those guys and make them victims in their own mind and white knight women who can and do handle this shit way more efficiently and often than we do.

You CAN and should react to those moments without calling the creep out. You can interrupt and redirect conversations in a way that doesn’t put the woman on the spot but ends the interaction. And then you can support the woman if she decides to do anything else, but don’t make it about you and your need to protect or solve or be recognized. This is sometimes difficult to do correctly and I’ve certainly fucked it up more than once but it’s a thing you get better at by trying.

And THEN make sure you call your dudes out when you’re sitting around watching football, or drinking beers on the patio. Make it clear you’re not a safe space for their bullshit and that they’re not welcome in your life until they can figure their shit out. That’s where the change comes.

That's really awful and unfortunately a sad reality of life for so many women. It doesn't seem to hit home with some men that this behaviour is criminal offence and should be stopped .
I just feel really bad and guilty for entering now.
