There are lots of rich and famous Americans, but when you think about billionaires as table stakes then look at and add up the various categories of what constitutes fame in America..television shows, movie appearances, elected office, scandals, gossip, crime, newspaper headlines, media attention...

The definition of infamous is to be known for some bad quality or deed. I think there is a difference between not liking a well known person and a person being famous for being and awful person. So probably Trump is both famous to some and infamous to others. It depends on your point of view. BTW, I like a hefty bum.

And that he has been named in the lyrics of 100’s of songs.

Famous/infamous… i think the data says he qualifies as at or near the top in both.

Take away his father's fortune which was real estate. He has failed at every juncture in his life, wine, airlines, college etc He even couldn't make money in a casino . All along the way he screwed contractors, business partners and other people. People lost there life savings and more. Never donates like the others do and yes it's important to give back not keep taking.
