New Poem Recommendations

(Blush) Thank you Trix. Also need to acknowledge Lyricalli and Trix for editing my prose into verse, as well as NextDoorSecret for the original watercolour that was my inspiration.

A really excellent poem. A fine blending of prose and lyrical storytelling, well-suited to its subject and impeccably rendered in its style.

today there are two examples of Angry Protest Poetry : Erectus's Reunion Mickey Konic [ about a school Bully] & Pel's Abide by the Rules [ about systemetic exploitation by Big Tobacco ] .
Both are worth a read IMHO

There's a new poet at Lit that shows promise, FatesArrow. To me, 95% of what is submitted as "erotic poetry" sounds like recycled "Penthouse Letters." But these two poems, submitted earlier this week, actually held my interest:

Thinking Of Her

Dear Penthouse,

Thinking of myself with Heather
how sublimely erotic we are together
I got my cock stuck in a Coke bottle
and now I'm laid up in the ER

Whether for better or worse
I've fallen in love

Nurse Jean just brought me a jar of Vaseline
In her latex glove

She is very handy

Sincerely,

Randy in Wisconsin

Here's another newcomer to Lit. I'm not sure I understand the poem -- maybe it's meant to be mysterious. But there is clearly some substance to this Saore, and he or she offers relief from the sometimes dreadful monotony of the new erotic poems that are offered here.

Spanking & Aftercare though it's a Spanko poem ( which genre turns off more'n 50% of Poets out here ) by Unpublaauthor is worth a look because of tge sheer felicity of words used effortlessly by the Lady .( she's a newbie to the NP thread )

I'm feeling unreasonably pleased with myself, for no particular reason except I put up a submission for the first time in almost three years.

It's here

A tragedy in a jaunty package, last verse is a bit 'meh,' but I had to get Doodle Dandy - Walker finished.

Some notables are posting in "New Poems:" Guilty Pleasure, AMoveableBeast, oneiria, and Sweet Oblivion; worth checking out.

A new poet JudeWinter has been a bit savaged by the ever-encouraging "Anonymous". Check him/her out as well as oneiria's latest delicacies.
