I am not sure which I dislike more getting coins on top or having some idiot getting a cup of coffee and paying with a credit card.
Of course nothing is worse than the hobo who needs to buy 35 lotery scratch tickets, and you might think they are picking out donuts for God's sake.
As far as directionals, "If you can't beat them join them!" I do not think any locals in Florida use them. Now I find myself not bothering either. Besides if you have the coffee in one hand and a cigarette and cell phone in the other. You are only asking for an accident to try and use the signal device. Much safer to avoid it all together that little lever is a safety hazzard.
