Nipple Piercings

I dated someone for about 8 months who had her nipples pierced. She had a barbell through each and later got a second done so they were crossed. It gave me something fun to play with (though, as with me and all piercings, I was worried about pulling too hard. I still have a scar from sunch an incident) and she really enjoyed them. From my standpoint I much preffer them to rings (not that my opinion means shite when it comes to someone elses body).

About four months after I had them pierced, I upgraded from barbells to rings.

The good thing about genital piercings is that given the thinness of the skin in that area and the amount of blood flow there, it takes practically no time at all to heal. My hood piercing was totally healed in two weeks.

How badly did it hurt when you got it done and during the healing period? I had my tongue done and the actual piercing part didn't hurt me (but they gave me a numbing mouth wash first), but the first two weeks healing was awful when I'd try to eat or when I first woke up in the morning. I'm pretty good with pain, but I just like to know what I'm getting into before going in there.

This is just my experience, but the hood piercing hurt like a bitch for about half a second, and then it was over. As soon as the needle was through, that was it. It was a little tender for a week or so, but nothing like the tongue piercing I had. My tongue didn't hurt at all, but the healing period was pure hell. The hood was nothing like that. The moment that the needle went through hurt, but that was all. I recall having sex the night I had it done, LOL. I could stand having it played with within a couple of days. It was the easiest-healing piercing I ever had done.

I had my nipples done (at separate times) about 7 years ago, hood done about 3 years ago, and got a belly ring last month.

First I would recommend finding someone who really knows what they are doing - if you have any friends who have had piercing done and can refer you to someone they trust, so much the better. I had to have my first nipple piercing redone after a year because the original was done too low and the barbell basically worked its way out the bottom of my nipple (no, it wasn't as horrendous as that sounds and it totally healed). Make sure they pierce through the MIDDLE of the nipple.

Another issue I've had, was that as a BBW, when I first got the nipples pierced, they were constantly brushing against the top of my desk as I typed. This is rather painful, but can also be very arousing!

I've had no problems with the clit or belly ring at all, both healed beautifully. The clit ring area sometimes gets a bit sore if it's played with too much, but other than that...... And none of my piercing experiences were more painful than a momentary sharp pinch and then some residual soreness while they were healing. Again, if you get a good piercer, they should know how to proceed with a minimum of pain and should be good at distracting you during the process.

As to whether they increase pleasure or not, that's probably an individual thing. Mine certainly do, I can cum simply from having my rings played with. And men are generally more sensitive than women in the nipple area, so you're probably in for a lot of fun! Not only is the actual piercing a turn-on, but also just the knowledge that your vanilla coworkers have no idea what fun things you're wearing under your staid business attire!

My sweetie had a twelve-gauge piercing (that's a pretty big one) 1.5 years ago and we *love* it. It's healed beautifully.

She says the sensation in her nipple is the same as before. Except when you press on it in such a way that the skin inside touches the metal--then it's more. I like pulling on it.

We got the piercing from someone in the BDSM community who came extremely highly recommended. I'd definitely make sure you find someone who has a great reputation because it will make all the difference in your success, along with your self care. I was pretty much an army sergeant about making sure my sweetie washed often with salt water right after the piercing.

I've had both nipples pierced since 2003, no problems... unless you count extra sensitivity as a problem...LOL.

Also have had my clit hood pierced since 2003, again no problems. And my naval since 2006. Was going to try inner labia, but I don't seem to be built right for it.

I wouldn't say 12g is all that big, the usual size is 14g and that's only one size smaller. Mine are a little smaller still at 16g, but it's not a very huge difference between 14 and 12.

However, it is definitely interesting when you can feel the metal inside. That's fun to play with.

Hmmmm, good to know. Now I want to get it even more just to feel just how badly it hurts for that second.
