Terrible Storms overnight here I hope all are safe and well so how about some true comfort food.

Neeses sausage Gravy stirred til the gravy silky smooth and sausage bits small little treasures of taste.

Biscuits warm from the oven, well risen, tender and ready for splittin' and filling with the gravy

Sliced cantaloupe in the icebox for those that like that on the side.

Breakfast as comforting as a Southern Lady's hug.

Something this morning that not all enjoy, but always makes my belly smile.

In the crock pot we got stone ground grits from the Carolina Grit Company, well seasoned and with at least a whole stick of butter mixed within. The white grits this time, cooked til creamy and hot.

SunnySide eggs in my mama's best cast iron skillet that is so black and shiny you could use it as a mirror. Eggs graced with the crispy brown lace on the edges, and that beautiful pert yolk just begging to be burst over a bowl of the grits.
