Morning Carolina,
Had heavy rains overnight, so with a coolish morning am fixin to bake.

There are bananas that the purchase of may have included pudding plans for the 4th of July so rather than waste I am baking banana breads

Plain Loaf, traditional and reliable, suitable to any palate if a bit vanilla.

Crunchy Loaf, spattered with pecan/'pee-cans' depending on your altitude in the state, for those that crave a bit of nut.

and my personal pick of the litter...

Sweet Loaf, banana bread mixed with a generous handful of mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels, if eaten when hot from the oven it will melt in your mouth, no butter needed. Just take care and not scorch the tongue.

time for the early AM breakfast bump.

Just added a new rooster, so my Lady hen's are very inspired to produce.
He is Quite the Cock of the Walk

So with all the extra henfruit available I am making,

Velvet Scrambled Eggs

Mix eggs with some Biltmore cream and small chunks of butter.

Cook slowly in a double boiler, agitating gently and constantly. NOT a dish to walk away from, takes a slow and steady hand to get such creamy silky results.

Served over hot fresh toast with just a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Its FRIDAY the week nigh over!
