Personal Info, Meeting and Safety?

Well, yeah, but is it woolly? :p

At the moment, yeah it's a little shaggy, yes.

Oh and Scallywag, I don't have any tusks. I sold them in college for the ivory, you know, trying to get enough money for beer and raman noodles. As I look back it does sometimes make me feel like half a man though, so thanks for bringing up a painful memory. :(

No I wouldn't be comfortable with a face av.

For a whole bunch of reasons.

I might do an eyes only shot. I find Bi's new eyes avatar intriguing. Very expressive.

Ive never met anyone from lit but...

If I were to meet someone, it would be only for conversation and friendly bonding. if she felt comfortable after the first few meetings and wanted to go farther then we'd discuss it. I have total respect for women and sometimes the woman is turned off because I didn't make a play for her in her time frame

Lots of great points here! I find it interesting that the face pic question on the GB seemingly (I didn't count) got a different response: many said they have/do/will show their face in their AV or profile. Perhaps the difference in the type of discussion and level of sharing has something to do with it?

I'm not really concerned someone would recognize me because I figure they're guilty of being here as well. In general, I don't share anything in public that I (or my husband) would be really embarrassed for people in RL to know. We don't live in a small community, plan to get into politics, nor are there kids to consider.

Most of my hesitancy to show my face is from the fear that doing so might make it easier for a weirdo to find me. I don't think that's likely, but have heard enough stories of stalking and the like to be cautious. I've had pics on other sites for several years, and haven't had any problems apart from a few creepy comments, so my caution here probably isn't very logical.

I'm a face person (as opposed to other body parts), and like having a face to put to words. It's nice when someone does share, and I have no problem doing so privately, though I might work up the nerve to go public in the future.
