And, last but not least, a special gift for my fellow Literoticans... The majestic Mountain Goat, in it's full glory!

The last one, with the mountain goat, is great! where did you take them? at a zoo? or in the wild (if so, how did you manage to get it that close and clear?) - I have a picture of a mountain goat too (different type though from the looks of it) but the quality of the picture is by far not as good - it was a foggy day, and i don't have a tele-lense, and of course the goat went away when i got too close...

In the second one I find the crop is a bit too close, i'd have liked a bit more room around the duck... but otherwise they are all very nice... btw, here is one of a duck that i took when i was in spain, but this duck has a problem with some fish...

I manually cropped the duck photo due to the duckling that's immediately out of the shot that's quite out of focus due to my shallow depth of field.

Yes, I was at the zoo :) I have a season pass, so I may as well take advantage :D The lens is a Tokina 80-400 telephoto zoom, which I HIGHLY recommend. Any of the Tokina lenses are fantastic, from what I've experienced thus far. (I've used the 10-17 fisheye, the 11-16 landscape, and the 80-400)

I love your shots too :) The duck/fish one is great!

i'd love to have some more lenses, both fish-eye and tele-lense... but along with many other things i want/need, they have to wait until i have a well-paying job...

Yeah, same here.. the lens I borrowed from work is apparently a 700 dollar lens, which is far out of my current budget. I'm currently saving for an engagement ring, and then a Plasma TV after that... :D

Been doing a little photography myself

This is called 'A Good Man is Hard to Find'

nice photo, bohunk. for me that type of photography is difficult to do as i don't have anybody to be the model, much less so if i want to post the photos on an internet forum.

btw, here is another of the animals i saw in spain:

yeah i was really surprised myself, that they can be that brightly coloured, never had seen that before, but on that day i actually saw two orange ones...

ah, trysail, speaking of sailing boats, here is one for you... (i myself have only once been on one, so i only got one from far away)...

Munachi,
That's a lovely image— very seductive.

Sometimes, we go to sea...
to remind ourselves NOT to go to sea!

I was drawn to sailing because my father, my grandfather and my uncles were all sailors. In fact, my parents met on a sailboat— so it's not too far a stretch for me to think that I might not even be here were it not for sailboats.:)

On the other hand, I have seen contemporaries who "were raised at their father's knee" (that's sailor talk meaning: forced to spend their youth sailing) who, when they grew up, wanted nothing to do with boats.

I was feeling frustrated I was not able to stop and take pics of some of the gorgeous scenery in Spain, but seems I did get some from the car while doing speeds between 80-120kph.:) Here are 2 of my faves of those...

Nice job Cat :) Photos in the car are hard to take, you did well :)

Thanks...figured it was the only way I was going to get any, so opened the window and held on tight to the camera, and hoped some would come out.

cool pictures! i have some car-window landscapes from spain too... know the feeling about not being able to stop the car and go outside to take photos...
