Picture This Poem Challenge

ArcSoft's PhotoStudio (2000v) is probably the best software I've used for lettering on illustrated poems. A lot of hard drives came pre-loaded with it few years ago so you may find free shareware of out there.
Mine came with ArcSoft's PhotoImpression 4. Definitely the most user friendly photo software I've tried. I downloaded a trial of version 5 (or whatever is their newest of that program), but it was nowhere near as good. Figures. :D

Even though I can't see the color, I know it's red.

Yep...it sure is...A vibrant shade of red, too. Fantastic job, Neonurotic :nana: The choice of font and placing of the words give it a forward motion, causing the whole image to appear deeper. I liked this alot~claps~

Yes it's a vibrant red indeed--and the poem is wonderful. Is that the Arc Soft program? I'm going to load that disc now! :D

Thanks to both you and Fantasia. ;)

Yes, that one was done in ArcSoft PhotoStudio 4.1. I enlarged the photo up to 2000 pixels in width and used 100 - 85 pt font then shrunk it down in both pixels and jpg file size. I have to work with larger prints in my 3D art programs so I can edit with detail and so this illustrated poetry technique is similar in concept.

Ok, next brain picking question. :D

You always use the most wonderful fonts. Do you have any favorites? I experiment with a few dozen of them and I know sites where I can find good ones, but I have a hard time figuring out which ones that look good when I download them will look equally good when I stick them on a photo.

Any advice, professor?

;)

This turned out better than I thought it would.

Liar~applauds~ This is so good! The manipulation of the font's letters in the smokey mid-center section...And the writing within the piece...Just a wonderful work of art created! :D

Hmm any font works well. The trick is the color of the font and the use of shadow on the lettering. I do like fonts, Enviro, Pristina, Matisse, VinderHand—they all add certain moods to the text, I think.

Thanks y'all. :)

Do you know if I can submit that, or if I'm breaking some Lit rule by using someone else's artwork, although it's public domain? I think it said somewhere that it had to be your pics.

Hiya L. You can submit it--it has no usuage restrictions as far as copyright--the photograoher has released the photo to be used on websites, modified, whatever, I'll get you the link if you want--just let me know.

:)

I'm with Rybka on this one.

Bad taste.

Thanks, neo. Another one - not so much a poem as a memory.
