oh fer cryin out loud girl you're quick off the mark. lol i'm not going to enter the contest, you should read your PMs before you make announcements y'know. lol

it's not possible to help out and enter and that's fine with me. gives me a good reason to skive off writing this soppy lovey dovey stuff.

:D

I did read the pm that said YES so I wanted to make it public so you couldn't weasel your way out of it, you sneaky thing you.

 no I know you would not do that.

and you are the quick one catchin my poem in the 20 seconds it was posted before I edited it :p

okay lets do a thread of poems not in the contest, just for fun. I want to write one too, and if people want to write more than one, they can put it there as well.

Exhibition Thread

Check out the Poem Contest Thread, I added some things.

Here is an additional rule I neglected to put in the original post:

Only one poem per poet will be entered into the contest. If you wish to submit more than one, all other entries will be posted in an Exhibition thread, in which people can vote for their favorite poem, but the votes will not be counted towards the final voting, and will not be eligible for the prize.

The poem contest committee for this contest will also be able to submit poems into this exhibition thread because we love love too and wanna play.

For some reason, I thought these poems were going to be posted in a thread with titles only - without our names, then announced later. I, personally think this would be a good idea. This is competition. Poets like competition.

absolutely, poems and titles will be in the thread. The names will be announced after the final voting is closed and the results are in.

Did it say somewhere that the names would be there? Please let me know where so I can change it :)

just a quick reminder of the 'send by' date.

at this point there are very few poems entered, so your chances of winning are HUGE!

:D

Why do I have this feeling your pulling my leg, missy?

i'm deadly serious.

i might have to enter myself at this rate.

Damn. I can't find the words. All I see are penises and knives.

edit: okay, it's not that bad, but every time I try to write a love poem, it seems to run on forever, and I can never find a good ending/punchline. Grrr

"entering yourself" is a bit too much on the porn side or erotica, I think Sappho and Eros would prefer a couples poem although pics of the event would be quite welcome

:)

I think that flyguy just possessed me to say that a shiver sent up my left arm and I could not help myself

Online Gift Certificates vs Gift Cards

The gift cards are purchased and sent to an address. They have poetry greats such as Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allen Poe but we would need to recieve an address to send this.

Online Gift Certificates are sent within moments to an e-mail recipient. With a message of choice.

how do you want it ladies? <grin Barnes and Noble
