Question for anyone who wants to answer: Do you have anyone on your ignore list? (Please, don't mention names!)

Yes :D

A few stupid asses (sorry guys) who did not bother to read and then acknowledge my sigline.

I have another question: I put some people in my Buddy list too, 'cause I like them (I won't name names ;) ). I know what the ignore-list does. I have not quite figured out why there is a buddy list, other than that I can look up their profiles from that list and so.

For the married/attached among you - what do your SO's think of Lit?

M likes Lit and has been meaning to sign up as well. He has far less time, though, to read and post since he can't access Lit from work (strict company policy, compliance-stuff, you know...). I send him quotes and funny stuff all the time (e-mail) and a lot of times Lit topics are a reason for us to go further into detail talking about something that is relationship/sex related.

Now who would that be?

Now that would be a long list.

You can also see who is online ( if they are not invisible)
By opening up their profile and clicking on show all posts it is easier to find out where they last posted if you want to catch up with them.
I find it very useful for stalk...seeing where they have posted, especially if they do not post where I normally hang out.
If you select the check box on the right you can PM them from there.

I mainly use it to see who is online I guess.

Thanks. Thought so already but thought I was missing something maybe.
Yeah, I know all the features you mention, and the online-status is not very useful to me most of the time since I'm sort of on the other side of the world from most of you :)

Does it amaze anyone else that SweetErica and Eilan know so much about the history of posters at Lit? It's creepy sometimes (but in a good way girls) how they come up with things people have said in other threads that contradict something they're saying in a new one! Do they have another feature that keeps track of these things for them or are they just that bigger brains?!
Just envious you know.... :D

SweetErica, Eilan? Girls? Please comment if you wish!

I have a place in my brain just for storing useless info. I'll also look at people's previous posts, particularly if they say something really stupid; I like to know if it's just a random attack of stupid or a way of life.

And I've been lurking at Lit since 2001--now THAT'S creepy! :D

I used to when I lurked at the GB a lot. But it never worked for me because I'd see that line, "You have this person on your Ignore List" instead of their post and I'd be so curious about what the asshole had to say this time, that I'd take them off my Ignore List.

M's girl: You speak English so well. Where did you learn it?

This is primarily why I use the ignore feature. It eliminates GB clutter. I won't put someone on Ignore because I don't like him or her--I'd be missing out on semi-quality entertainment that way. :)

A stalker, however, would be an entirely different matter.

I came close to reactivating the list when I read some of the political threads at the GB, but I guess I think that it's better to keep the idiots in plain sight.

ROFLMAO! You don't mind if I use that, do you?

Welcome, MsMinx! :)

Here is a question for you: I'm always curious what brings people to Lit. What say you? How did you find Lit?
It was kind of a joke. I belong to a writer's group made up of all ex-librarians and one of the other members brought a print out about the Valentine's Day contest and jokingly said it was next month's assignment. So i thought--what the hell, always did like porn, i'll try writing some. And have been here ever since.

That seems so healthy! It must make for better sex, too.

Lit has helped a lot with my SO as well. I happened to send him little porn snippet that I wrote as part of an AH challenge: write a shower scene in 30 minutes, no edits. He Loved it! and just by doing that, I think we blew the doors wide open on our sex communication. In the past year, our sex life has gotten so open and intimate because of it. :cathappy:

I only had one person on my list - someone who was posting disgusting pictures all over the boards that I didn't want to see every time I opened up some thread.

I put someone on my Ignore list once because they had posted HUGE pictures that made it nearly impossible to read the thread.

Oh. Welcome to Lit, Nora. :rose:

I've got about 40 'people' on my ignore list but most of them are old alts with names almost identical to 'real' people. Maybe 5 on there for real reasons. I'm sometimes tempted to add to it, but figure I should be adult enough to be able to ignore them without it.

No, it's not! :D

Honestly though.... most of the times I just don't recognize the posters and answer their questions (if I think I have something to say) and then one of you come along to send them back to their senses :D

Very clever.... haha

Obviously you are a someone with a keen intellect and a razor-sharp wit. ;)

Have you been to the GB yet? I'll loan you my whip and chair if you need it.

Why Thank you BG! Kindest words spoken to me today....giggle.

The GB? Well not really - I've looked a few times but it looks very fierce in there -so I may just need some lessons to go with the whip and the chair....lol

True.

We were always quite open from the start with each other, but we also had a lot of different ideas about how our relationship and sexlife should function. Both being not 18 anymore we had a lot of baggage from former relationships we were carrying with us. Lit has helped me to be more open minded about some things because I saw (read) that they were not as 'strange' as I had considered them to be sometimes (and I thought I was fairly open minded and in for anything already!). I also found out that I'm usually not far off where matters of the good relationship outside the bedroom are concerned. Taking Lit-matters and the way others think about certain things as a guideline has helped us both more than once. And then there is the fun stuff we just laugh about. All 'n all Lit's been good to our relationship ;)

If you check the who's online page..you buddies appear with a little black cross next to them if they are online.....

you're my primary source for aussie info... at least in the sense of what i know from an actual person on the ground. i asked you earlier if you were ever tired of people asking you about your country and you said it was interesting to hear other people's perception of what australia is like. so i got to thinking... what is YOUR impression of the US?
