Exactly. And you would be vilified because those words would be deemed racist. There is no logic stream whereby switching the roles makes it not racist. We have in essence decided that history makes racism towards white people more acceptable.
But since that sounds stupid (because it is) and we want to be politically correct we find other ways to package it up and make it ok. Nobody wants to say that attacking a man simply because his skin is white makes you a racist douche-bag.....yes even if your skin is black it is possible to be a racist douche-bag. To me it looks like more than anything it's based on a subtle racism towards black people - like it's based on all the racist ideas society has about black people, that sex with a black guy is more animalistic, forbidden, etc. I'm not condemning anyone for their fetish or trying to paint things in simple terms, but I think it's worth reflecting on and making sure that you aren't actually carrying racist attitudes in your heart and in your behaviour. Fetishes are funny things and you can't out-think your fetish, but what you can do is take a thoughtful look at your life and work on changing your attitudes, IF a change is necessary. Same applies for anyone fetishizing any ethnicity. Just making that time to reflect how you relate etc.

I definitely don't think that things are that simple and suspect that sometimes a kind of outwardly disrespectful play (I am into some stuff that isn't necessarily that respectful to me and by definition other people, too) might in some cases have a healing value. (I suspect the opposite might be true too.)

I wasn't trying to make anyone account for themselves to me and I wasn't trying to set up rules other people should live by, just encouraging people to take some time out after their fetish fun to reflect on what's going on. I don't know. What I was saying was that I think that probably depends on what's going on in that person's head. I'm not trying to make rules for anyone.

I've noticed myself I tend to find Arab girls really attractive. Not sure why. But I don't think I'm fetishizing - I've known a lot of Arab girls as friends. That is a pretty tough call. It wouldn't be fair to make that assumption without knowing why skin colour is a factor for them. We all find different things attractive and there is no reason skin colour can't be one of them. If you are a man I would say a good test is to ask how you would feel if someone of that different colour was fucking your sister and was doing so because of the colour of her skin.
