MK, never ever kick people in the shin with your new pointy shoes. Put on an old pair, because if you kick them with new shoes, and the shoes get messed up during, then you get angrier, and the kicking continues and before you know it. . . you have an assault charge on your hands.

I just saw my 25 mikes reply...
Our power went around 11:30 Monday night, got it back by 12:30 in the afternoon. Cable/internet out til late last evening. Thankfully, no flooding.
I think we're luckier than a lot of others. Talked to some friends in the gym this morning who are still without power.
You would not believe the winds.

I bet! We had some surprisingly strong winds (we are in Maine) and some rain. Lost power for a couple hours.

Sorry for being insensitive, but as a Floridian, I don't wake up for anything less than a CAT2. Living in Florida is like living on America's wang and we get pelted by every damned storm that comes by. Except this one.
I'm kidding though. Glad all are well. I've been through my share of hurricanes and they do suck the big green weenie. Luckily the weather is pretty cool so if you are dealing with power outages, it's not too bad as far as heat is concerned. A few years ago I remember power was out for about five days for some in Florida's August heat and humidity. That was miserable for them.

Sandy was pretty much a non event in my part of coastal Virginia. Irene last year was much worse as far as power outages and tree downings.

Hahahaha well, the group of ninjas I saw tonight was pretty loud, and stopped at every house they saw. They weren't trying to be very stealthy!

Pretty much anything. I really enjoyed Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. That was a mystery. I also read her other two books, Sharp Objects, and Dark Places. Once I read one book by an authot I tend to read them all....I even muddled my way through all three 50 shades.
I just finished The Story of O which was horribly depressing. Hahaha
I'm not above reading trashy romance novels either!
So, suggest away!

If you want naughty, Eden Bradley can be fun, I liked her Seven Days of Kama Sutra, nice dirty little romp.
Not naughty--mystery--just finished The Hangman's Daughter by Oliver Potzsch. Little dark but really interesting. Just started the second one, The Dark Monk.
And if you want old stuff, I happen to love "Running with Scissors" by Augusten Burroughs. Made me feel better about my own childhood. lol
