Though I am not a child of the seventies, I was born to Come Sail Away (off the same album as Grand Illusion), and my first forays into the anime world were Mobile Suit Gundam and Robotech, both released in the late 70s (0079, the original MSG, was released in 1978 or 79, and didn't hit US shores until almost a year later, and Robotech was originally aired late 79, I believe)
