So, let's talk about the Bible a bit, and a little bit more about being a Christian - in the whole of the Bible, there are 5 passages about homosexuality, most in the Old Testament, none attributed to Jesus. There are more passages against heterosexual adultery. And, in that same text there are over 2000 references about showing charity to the poor - found in both Old and New Testament. This would indicate to me that the Judeo/Christian God values compassion and social justice much more than [H]e damns fags and dykes (btw, I adore and claim both terms, as do most of my friends). When was the last time that you performed a charitable act, or even chose to vote with the interests of the poor in mind?

At some level, my heart goes out to you - it is a burden to carry around such violent hatred and rage - it sears the soul and sucks it dry. It makes joy impossible, including joy in [God's] creation and the great gifts that S/He has given us.
