Sadistic characters

ha, I saw that movie, in fact someone recommended it, because of the BDSM in it. I thought it was odd, and it wasn't really my type of movie....

Frankly, I don't see any BDSM in Blue Velvet. I see some disturbingly sick behaviour and mental illness. The film was a big disappointment to me.

SSC certainly not the promo catch phrase for Blue Velvet. I saw it when it was first released a VERY long time ago and figured it was just another one of those movies he liked me to sit through and not enjoy but also not complain over. He also introduced me to Rachmaninov so it wasn't all bad......smiles.

About 12 months ago I saw the movie again on DVD and I would agree with your comments Andante. Its not about BDSM though I stick by opinion that the character remains a sadist in more clinical terms ( ie mental illness).

Certainly no reference to the more delightful expression of Sadism attributed to some within the BDSM realm .
