LOL, you need to get our more then...in NL it is not unusual to see nudity in advertising, and also nude interviewing and chat programmes on TV....as for the rest, I have travelled through much of Europe and lived here also for the past 5 years, and apart from the very few specified places where nudity is legally permitted such as naturist resorts, beaches, and the occasional park, I have not seen where it is not legal or tolerated elsewhere as a rule unless it is for art, or protest, but certainly not as a dress choice of the average citizen...my PYL, unlike me, was born and raised here, so he has much more extensive knowledge than I have and has lived in several countries and he has yet to know a country where it is publicly accepted everywhere and not open to arrest. Perhaps you are getting a filtered view and put into a false sense of security.

Certainly, at this point in my life, living 24/7 isn't something I'd be comfortable with. (Note, this could change. Hell, my play partner thinks I'd be very good for the lifestyle.) LOL, pretty much the same in most of Europe as well...small things may be tolerated at times if you are lucky and basically not highly blatent (or you go to a sexual fantasy oriented naturist resort), but walking the streets naked and sex in the streets doesn't even happen in Amsterdam's Red Light District. One only has to think, if it is so common place, how come you don't see it in movies, people's tourist shots, documentaries etc. I actually was talking about it to someone today who has spent his almost 60 years living and working in various parts of Europe, both as a child when his father was stationed around Europe (says they shifted countried on average at least twice a year), and in his own adult life, and he hasn't known people to be legally out and about naked either, and he actually does a lot of nude photography...there is a reason there are naturist resorts and clothes optional beaches, that being because it is not accepted in the general community. Would be nice if it were, and I am sure if that were the case, many more people would be taking advantage of it instead of trying to work out how to wear less, and more revealing clothing without getting arrested.

From what I have heard while here, there are sections of Berlin where nudity is permitted in the centre of the city or business district, and they are more tolerant I think than Oz and the US if there is someone wanting to arrange an outdoors nude photo shoot or filming. I love the Red Light District, especially the narrow alley windows where you are lucky to be able to walk 2 people side by side between the windows. This pic was one I took mainly for the Moulin Rouge next door, but even the window girls have something on in the form of bikini's or skirts etc.

I agree 100% with CutieMouse. I believe everything ssinlove has said - I have no reason to disbelieve her - but I do think it is a very rare lifestyle.

The vast majority of people in the world, BDSM or not, are only with one person. A poly lifestyle is very unusual, especially a 6-person household...that is a VERY big group!

Also, most households cannot afford to have someone stay at home all the time, they all have to work, for financial reasons. I can see that if 5 out of 6 people are working, they can probably support the one who stays home, but it is hard for one person to support another person all by themself. (It is done all the time, but not as often as it used to be.)

As for being naked all the time, not many vanilla people do that! Subs and slaves are more likely to, but again...many of them have to work, and unless they work in the sex business they have to be dressed!

Puppy play is also not common. I know quite a few puppies, but I think in the wider BDSM world it is not common.

So I think that is what CM meant by "extreme" - the word "unusual" might have been a better one. It sounds like your life is comfortable and happy, and it sounds like these are the only masters or owners you have ever known, and you mentioned this is the first time you've communicated with others online, so you don't have anything to compare your life to, and it doesn't seem extreme to you. But I would say that it is definitely unusual compared to most other people.

Well.... The way I have always seen/heard of petitions being used..

Is that a "petitiion" is a "request", from one person, asking to become the "slave" of another..

Like a contract, it is a way of demonstrating seriousness and intent.
The act of sitting down and actually putting the request into writing, is thought to help the submissive partner "make sure" that they are asking for what they want...Different state of mind and all that.
Also..
In theory, but not actuality, it provides a certain amount of coverage for the Dominant partners ass in case of a legal question.

I would say that sitting down to write one would certainly cause some thought on the part of the submissive... Might pare away a certain amount of "overenthusiasm".
Especially since they are almost always (to my knowledge), either sent snailmail, or delivered in person.
