It is, I was lucky enough to see it in the theater in Seattle for a special showing around 1979.

Day 7: A film that you would love to see on a big screen

So, I’m a little unusual in my movie watching ideals. I don’t actually care much about seeing big bombastic action spectacles in the theater, I love going to the theater to lose myself in a dark room with no distractions into small stories about people’s lives. This is probably my favorite movie at the moment, and it’s one I really wanted to see in the theater but couldn’t get around to before it was gone. Don’t regret exactly but I know I’d love to see it on a big screen.
