I've grown up on horror movies. Jason, Freddy, Chucky, Michael Myers. There was a poster for A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge up at the local video store that still lives in my head. I'm pretty desensitized now but when I was young and saw this for the first time? Totally scared me.

I've tried to watch this at least three times, and I can't. After a certain scene, I turn it off...15 or 20 minutes in, maybe? The book had me scared.
Loved that movie. Had a huge crush on Langella for a while after.Saw this on tv in the 80s and locked myself in the bathroom during the night.
