Sex & Shenanigans

Communicating with locals in a language you're not really familiar with.
And extending generosity in those moments 🤩

I lived in Japan as a teenager and had to learn the language by assimilation. I started teaching in elementary schools and found that I could communicate with the kids in Japanese easier than I could communicate with my peers and even adults. I think that's because there was a lot more flexibility in the younger kid's comprehension. Spending time with them have me both the core basic structure of the language and the confidence to learn more.

Those experiences definitely shaped me.

I am so glad I listened to that again because the first pass through I heard "all day I dream about stacks", which yeah- can be construed as dirty.
But then I listened a second time.

You dirty bird.

*shakes head sadly*

It's asking too much of the nation that pronounces 'buoy' as 'booey'.
Wait…how do you pronounce buoy? (Spelled out phonetically, please!)

I think we spell it "line"
I use “queue” over “watchlist” and to describe the FFXIV duty matchmaking system’s waiting period all the time 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you are spelling 'queue' 'line' things are worse than I feared.

I mean, you can call the thing a different word. To be contrary. Like you like to be.....

'Muricans. 🙄
