I empathize and relate to this first hand. I get that some women shut down at a certain age, in the case of my wife, she never really showed any sexual energy! Regardless, to expect anyone who enjoys sex, to not have sex is wrong and should not condemn a person to celibacy...the other half who doesn't want sex anymore should allow their partner to go and enjoy, as long as it doesn't create an embarrassing situation...these things can be enjoyed discreetly and allow the other person to enjoy life...we only have one!

100% agree. I married a man who doesn't give a rip about sex and I have always been highly sexually active. I wish I had put more knowledge in determining if we were sexually compatible instead of getting whisked away by all the marriage hoopla.
