Poor Missy, she has had a cyst the size of a quarter on her leg for years. While I was gone she started licking it and it's raw and bleeding. I bought a cone collar so I could try and get it healed but it's too small. I have her wrapped in an ace bandage to try and keep her from licking. It's in a place that is not easily wrapped. She's pathetic looking. Anyway, I'm calling the vet as soon as they open to take her in.

Going to the gym to walk while it's so hot. I miss walking outside though.

Gotta call the vet...

We had a stray cat, white with orange spots, somewhat overweight, not neutered, come in and make himself at home. He talked incessantly and slept on the kitchen table. Occasionally he would sleep on the bed with my wife and some of our other cats. Always talking when awake. I finally enticed him onto my bed with catnip, he was not comfortable.

Then he showed up with the skin gone from most of his tail, eventually, it turned black. He was untouchable, catnip was useless. It was a very long time before my wife was able to get him in a carrier and take him to the vet. Turns out they had seen him before. Soon after his tail was damaged another woman had brought him in but could not afford the several hundred dollars to have the damaged tail removed and do the neutering.

So we had it done and he allowed us to give him the meds. He seemed to be getting back to his previous loving self. Oh, he lost weight eating our food, both canned and all they can eat of three different dry foods. None of our cats are overweight, low carbohydrates seem to make the difference.

Well, now I am rambling! As he healed he started coming in less and less. I occasionally I see him walk by my window, very rarely he comes in to eat. At least he is no longer in pain.
