If I understand correctly, the difference between Talk and the Cafe is some nebulous mix of theme and seriousness --- some topics are considered too frivolous or chatty for Talk and are therefore relegated to the Cafe.

I'm unclear as to how exploring the impulses behind why people engage in BDsM is "chatty" rather than serious however irreverent some of the postings are.

I have to ask myself why these two threads have been singled out for persecution when there are four others of far less substance currently on the front page of Talk.

Surely it's not just because Writer Dom doesn't LIKE a couple of posters? Surely there must be some great and altruistic reason for this thread and not just pettiness and bickering. Surely he isn't suggesting that the proponents of these threads must be anti-SSC simply because they don't qualify their every second uttering with paens to the Law?
