I have no idea what you are talking about. Really, I don't. I have searched my entire hard-drive and google search history (make sure you clear that Saucy - something tells me "glittery balls" is not the most inappropriately festive thing we would find there) and the filthiest thing I could find is this:

Almost over here, Sunday night and it's once again, freezing cold.

I had a nice quiet weekend, and did some sewing and party prep's for my little girl's birthday coming up. Nothing else.

I will pre-heat the oven and bring the Pumpkin Pie Voddie.

And if things in the kitchen should progress to less pie making and more food-fight-slap-and-tickle, and these shenanigans should happen to be captured on a video media recording device, I would definitely make a last minute trip to the supermarket for more nutmeg and whipping cream ingredients.

They are sweet and sort of a heavy pumpkin custardy substance with warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, a little clove. My daughter loves them, I just make'm I don't actually eat the things.


I learned the hard way not to bake topless. . . and we are gonna leave that story right there. My goodness that girl in the middle has slim hips! I'm built more Dolly Parton pre-surgical interventions.

One recipe for Double Layer Pumpkin Pie coming right up! It's a no bake pie; absolutely divine. I also have my mom's recipe for traditional pumpkin pie that I'll post tomorrow.

Pumpkin Cheesecake




I call this a pumpkin cheesecake, but it isn't really. it's a no bake double layer pumpkin pie.

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp each milk and sugar

1 1/2 cups thawed cool whip

1 prepared graham cracker crumb crust (6oz)

1 cup cold milk

16 oz pumpkin

2 packages (4 serving size) jello vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp ground cloves



Mix cream cheese, 1 tbsp milk, and sugar in large bowl with wire whisk until smooth. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spread on bottom of crust.

Pour 1 cup cold milk into large bowl. add pumpkin, pudding mixes and spices. Beat with wire whisk until well mixed. (mixture will be thick.) Spread over cream cheese layer.

Refrigerate 4 hours or until set. Garnish with additional whipped topping, if desired. Store leftover pie in refrigerator. Makes 8 servings

*helpful hint: soften cream cheese in microwave on high 15-20 seconds.

This is a no bake pumpkin pie, and it seems gross when you first make it. But give it the 4 hours in the fridge until it has time to set. It's REALLY good, I promise you! I make this and take it anytime I go to a pot luck this time of year. Everybody is always amazed at how good it is and how easy it is to make.

It can be made with canned pumpkin, but I much prefer home-made pumpkin. I just scoop the junk out, peel it, and cook it in a tiny bit of water until it's mush. Keep scooping any strands out of the water. When it's nice and mushy, throw it in a food processor or mash it with a potato masher. I freeze it in one cup portions to use throughout the year. My pie pumpkins of choice are the heirloom pumpkins - the short, squat, tan pumpkins.
