I loved this poem..and still do...

Silent Sophie
by sandspike

She was the round head
in a uneven world.

Grotesgue
sculpture....

minx a fantasy field,
dyed in a summer heat.

Crying out in silence,
I left her that way.

Wow, I just have to say the poems in the Cellar Door Challenge are ALL great!

Well done everyone, I had great pleasure reading your work. :)

8 pm EST tonight

is the deadline for semifinal votes in the Slow Cellar Door challenge.

I will post the top vote getters from each poll in a little while. First though I have something critically important to do--ok, just a pedicure, but I want to make my toenails lavendar. I'm sure you'll all appreciate the thread more for it lol.

So cast your votes now if you haven't done so yet. Only those who submitted poems to this challenge vote in the finals round and not for their own poem(s).

Unhhh. . . ?

I thought it was tomorrow night.

Please vote for One of the following poems in this poll. This is an open poll, so readers will be able to see which poem you've selected. You have until

Sunday, July 3 at 8 pm EST

to cast your vote. There are three polls--you may vote for one poem in each poll.

Ok, it's tomorrow. :)

You can do the next contest--my work schedule keeps getting in the way of my ability to be alert when I come home to the poetry forum.

Are the preliminary polling threads still about somewhere? I was stuck when writing my entry, and ended up finishing it in the PM to The Poets.

So I don't have a copy of it, as far as I know. :(

They're slipping to the second page now, Remec. :)

Yes, they're still here Remec. I just unstuck the threads. I am about to post all the semifinalists now though, identified by their writers. I was too sleepy to do that last night. ;)
