I stand alone, wrapped in a mantle, on a rocky outcrop in the middle of the ocean. As far as I can see in every direction, there is nothing but endless sea. I wear a mantle of grief and responsibility and hold an orb of hope. I know that the hope is a lie, but I can't drop it. It breathes the only tiny light in my world. The mantle weighs heavily on my shoulders. The waves lap at my feet. There is no end until my hands can no longer hold the weight of the orb. Someday I will drop it. When that happens, the mantle will slip from my shoulders and I will dissolve into the oblivion of the wastelands.
Erm...so yes, I guess I'm struggling too.

My social distancing is exceeded only by my distance from good manners. I’m sorry to have let your kind posts go unanswered. When it comes to Lit, I am the sticky lint roller (Lit roller?), 90% used, in your No. 3 junk drawer. I pop up, and you really should just throw me out, but who knows, I could come in handy.

I’ve been working crazy hours, watching the Goonies, drinking weird kombucha (is there another kind?) and taking credit for sinister masks.

Oh no, I’m not that ambitious, and I kind of like that extra layer of “OK, bacteria, sure, but fancy $3 bottle and wacky triple gingerberry flavor combos means totally fine.” How did you fall into the orbit of wanting to do this?
