son of the isolated blurts thread!

I posted my voice on that thread but I didn't sing. I almost did, and then went, oh hell no. :D

Saucy are you kidding me!?!? Your singing voice is beautiful!! And I get to keep that! :) :rose:
Thank you lovely. :rose:

I am about to walk into a used bookstore in this mood. As most of you know, I am not one for retail therapy is a thing. But, if there ever was a place, this would be the place…
That would be like me in a shoe store, or a book store, or a liquor store. . . That's why I didn't get dressed today. It kept me from shopping.:D Have fun lovely, and getcha self something nice. Books make everything better.

This place is one of my very favourite places on earth, less than half an hour away, and more dangerous for my wallet than a whole row of one-armed bandits.

*facepalm* Why Des? Why? I've been looking for a specific antique french pastry cookbook for about the past 10 years. Now I'm going to go look there and it if is, my kid is going to have to put himself through college. *sigh*

And everyone knows the craps table is the best odds. . . just saying. :rose:

Not Careme, by any chance? But as for your boy, buy two and resell one in ten years. Quality books are a sure investment. That's what I tell myself, anyway.

I know little of gambling, bar Bridge. We shall have to hit Monte Carlo one day and hit it hard.

Indeed it is. :rose: And alas, I don't have 10 years, he's starting his second semester on Jan 15th. My daughter will be starting in 2017. She wants to go to Harvard Med. Luckily she will have her first year general studies done by the time she's through her senior year in high school, and she's top 2% of her class. Slackers both of them. I didn't beat them nearly enough when they were small.

I would love to. I was in Monte Carlo when I was 17. My teacher/chaperone would not let me go into the casino to find my sugar daddy and be set. I still occasionally fb her, and tell her she ruined my life.

Hey, chopped liver! Did you post funny things, chat with me, or PM me? No sireebob. Just a random drive-by pizza post....

But you have to admit, as random drive-by pizza posts go, that one was pretty spectacular.

How did your pork roast come out? :rose:

It came out well, thanks to your excellent instructions. I had enough left over to make Cuban sandwiches for tonight's dinner. I guess they were good, as there weren't any left! The remainder of the ham will be made into tetrazzinni tomorrow.

Am I the only traditionalist who waits for Epiphany before putting away the Christmas decorations? Twelve Days of Christmas and all that?

If it were up to me, I'd leave it at least another week. But I need my husband's help in getting everything down, so I have to take advantage of when he feels like accommodating me.

I've been lurking on that thread, but I'm too chickenshit to post there.

I posted mine in the Pillow Fight, but you could always PM, too. Just sayin'.;)

It looks like a really wonderful place, except I think I'd be to afraid to touch anything!

Only if it's deep dish!!

The book store was disappointing. The texting conversation with my besties was great, though! you two!

Thin crust FTW! :D

I'm sorry about the visit, J. There have been times when trips to the library have turned out the same. :(
