son of the isolated blurts thread!

Kids are off of school, we've all slept in late, and now I'm going to spend a leisurely day in the kitchen doing prep work for tomorrow. Life is good!

Also, on a totally unrelated note, seeing Ed back in action on the threads makes me happy. :D

Only 30 Days, 3 Hours, 49 Minutes, and 54 Seconds of shopping left until Christmas! You people better get to cracking!

Bad Nip!

I've started, but haven't even come close to finishing. I sort of want to skip all the gift giving this year. I've feeling very bah-humbug about it.

Only 394 Days, 15 Hours, 48 Minutes, and 1 Second until Xmas 2015! You people better get cracking!

Better? :confused::D:D

Don't worry, I'm with you guys on this one with the bah-humbug thing. We quit exchanging gifts several years ago, partly out of no need for more useless crap, partly in defiance of the commercialism of the holiday. Around these parts there have been radio commercials since Halloween, and one station has been playing Xmas music for over a week already!:eek:

I have been shopping since August. I'm doing a lot of online this year. We don't do much, but the budget likes it much better when we spread it out.

It's a lazy day here too. We were waiting for the boy to get out of bed. I was woken up by a friend in the loveliest way, then spent the morning in bed with Stephen King. We are now contemplating cleaning, cooking, but for now we are watching Wall-e. (Love the movie--so cute).

This is my view this morning. It is rather gorgeous.

Very pretty but not quite gorgeous. Maybe if you were in it.... ;)

A slightly edited version of my fb post at 6:30 am this morning:

Home safe and sound from the Black Friday shopping extravaganza!
smell like a French whore -- check!
covered head to toe in glitter - check!
bought 47 blankets - check!
wore false mustaches in public - check!
dance party in front of Kohls - check!
ate cheeseburger at 3:30 am - check!
made fun of drunk douche at next table - check!
snuck up on best friend and made her scream 30 times - check!
homage to Monty Python silly walk sketch - check!
convinced niece to sneak into the Santa Claus enclosure at mall for photo session - check!
All in all a most successful trip.

Which film adaptation is your favorite??

The miniseries with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle.

Maybe I should make NippleMuncher watch with me the next time it's on. Think he'd make it through all six hours? Maybe we had better start him off with the Kiera Knightly version first. That one is only a couple of hours, but I find Knighly a little annoying.

The Knightly version is my favorite...

I do have a thing for Colin Firth, though.

I like the Knightly version, too. However, I find the way she speaks a little distracting. I think it's the way she moves her mouth. I don't know, but it's a good version, regardless.

I have a thing for Colin Firth, too. :)

Colin Firth is very thing worthy.

Best pick up line of the evening on Fri night:

Him: Honey if you fuck like you dance, I want to take you home tonight.

Me, looking adorably confused: What? You mean standing up in a crowd of people? I only ever did that once. . so I guess I don't usually. *smiling and adding the crazy eyes for good measure*

Him: looking even more confused, and finally wandering away

Good times. Good times.

Oh noes. My neighbor thinks he is Kanye West, and thinks so at the top of his lungs.

He sounds more like the Count from Sesame St.
"One! One rhyme busted. Muah ha ha!"

If there were ever two things that would not be missed if they were obliterated from the face of the planet, it would be Krappay West and the entirety of the Krapdashittian family!
