Song I Hate

My best friend got this album in 2003 when we were living together and by the 3rd day, I was absofuckinglutely sick of it.

This is same best friend that introduced me to HIM, The 69 Eyes, Turbonegro, and most of what I currently listen to, but I would still kick him in the balls for this one.

"Turn the Page," or just about anything Bob Seger. Growing up in Michigan, this song was so overplayed on the radio when it was released, along with other Bob Seger songs, I began to hate them. It's not that it's bad music, just turn the dam page already! 😁

I’m with you on Seger. Must have been much worse living in Detroit. “Come on Dee Troit make some noise!”

There is a Jackson Brown song that as near as I can tell, is like 2 or 3 hours long. It just drones on in boredom and depression… then just when you think it will end and life will immediately get better… he sings “stay… a little bit longer…”. Aaaahhhh!!!! No no no no no!!! Make it stop! Make it stop!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This sounds like hell! I hate jam bands. If you think your 20 min song sounds good listen to it when you’re not high and see what you think.

I saw that concert and that performance of that song before it was an album. I was in high school. It was totally rad! (That’s what we said in LA in the 70s)
Reminds me of a shipmate from So. Cal. in Navy basic training. It was 1982, in San Diego, and he used that word (rad) constantly.

I was in boot camp in SD in '81. Right across the channel from USMC basic training. We just went back there last week. It's not a Navy base any more, been repurposed as retail, church, other spaces. Had dinner on the old base before the Bruce show.

Anything played on the radio by Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Metallica, or Rush.

According to the radio, those bands have 4 songs, max.

But, if you want me to put a bullet through the speakers, please, by all means, play Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova. You won't even register the first notes before the shot rings out.
what! are you complaining about the corporate rock radio agenda....where we have a 200 song playlist and repeat them everyday over the course of 20 years, I do like Zeppelin, however day after day of the same songs can wear on a person........its like playing the shit out of Alanis.....I am so sick and tired of hearing those same tracks daily

Plus I might add that whilst our local radio station was in a AM format.....they subscribed to "Oldies Coast to Coast" for a term.....every night like clockwork....we had "Unchained Melody".....and "Old Time RocknRoll".....so if they are playing the latter song from 1980.....then Do You Feel Like We Do from 1975 should fit in the request line......but Oh NO....that song was much to new!

@_PinkLady_ and I always have music playing. It’s one of my rules. But there are songs I hate that she enjoys.

This morning I picked up my phone just as a song started playing. She queried, are you skipping this song?

Yes.

I did.

I cannot stand Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s not even the best song on that album.

I understand why people love this song. This thread is not that discussion.

Popular songs which annoy you.

That’s the discussion. It doesn’t matter why.

Songs which get played on classic rock channels should often be removed.

Not the Toadies song referenced above.

By the way, I’m in Love with My Car is the best song on that classic album.
oh my, song I hate to hear come on the radio is a classic, you will remember in your head now for a day or so, here goes: Peggy Lee,,,,,,,,,,Is that all their is to Love? (then lets keep dancing, let have a ball, if that is all their is to love. I'm sorry for doing this to your head. It is a song from the 60's I had to learn to play so my sister could sing it to the guy that rocked her boat, loaded it with stones and then sunk it.
