Spotlight on....Bobsgirl

No questions as of now.

Just here to say...Bobsgirl rocks.

I know this needn't be said as it's so very, very obvious...but...it's no less heartfelt.

I made my first quilt about 10 years ago, I think. I never finished it but I still have it somewhere. I was active for a while in an online quilt block exchange group, which is when I really improved my skills. I really enjoy planning and selecting the fabric but it always makes me happy to see it start to come together.

LOL I've buried the hatchet with olive green. I'm partial to deep vivid colors -- I love reds and deep greens and violets. I have trouble working with pastels. I get bored with them.

If the airlines were more attentive to the needs of disabled travelers, and it was easier and more comfortable to fly, I would love to travel to Australia and the UK. And out west. Maybe New Mexico.

My sewing room walls are currently a pale periwinkle blue. One of the walls is a slightly darker shade of the same color.

Never dyed my hair. It's always been very dark brown, though nowadays more and more gray is creeping in.

Well, I don't know how wonderful I am... But I know I surround myself with pretty wonderful friends and family. Maybe it rubs off?

Sounds like you're self taught for quilting. I'm impressed.

You're being modest ma'am.

I know you're a night owl. Do you change your biological clock (e.g. sleep from 4 am to noon) or is it mostly from not being able to sleep?

Do you prefer fruits or vegetables?

What was your favourite subject in school?

Self taught with a lot of time spent swearing and "un-sewing".

A lot of my weird sleep schedule is because of insomnia, but I've always been a nightowl. I'd much rather see the sun come up because I haven't been to bed yet than because the alarm clock woke me.

I'm not much of a cooked vegetable lover (unless they're covered with cheese sauce -- most anything is tasty swimming in cheese sauce). I prefer my veggies raw in a salad. I'm definitely a fruit lover. Peaches... Mmmmm...

I liked history and whatever language course I was taking, and really enjoyed all my drama classes. I despised English literature. I still don't know what Catcher in the Rye is about.

do you have a favorite cuisine, bg?

right now: who's your celebrity crush?

did you compare your answers yesterday with the answers from the last time yet? :D

:) That's very kind of you, Diva. Very nice to see you here.

Probably Italian is my favorite, but then there's also Mexican. I'm game to try all sorts of cuisines, except I have to say I draw the line at weird stuff like eel or haggis.

Celebrity crush? I'm too old for crushes, young man. ;)

What thread was that in? I haven't even looked yet. I'm pretty sure they aren't the same.

Thank you for my note last night.:rose:

I gotta say, I wish I knew her better. She's so very funny, kind hearted, and loving. I'm glad she and Quili are friends. We've been blessed having you here, sweets.

ed you make light of BG's man by putting him down to the level of a 'crush'!

Do you do anything crafty in addition to quilting?

Do you have a favorite Italian dish and/or a favorite Mexican dish?

When are we going to get new tattoos?!?!

I have a question for you, BeeG. Did you know my butt called you for 210 minutes?

I think that's all for now.

No, no, no, it isn't gray hair, it's tinsel...tinsel.

Yeah, yeah, just work with me here.

Favorite movie : Only one? Hmmm. A League of Their Own, Something's Gotta Give, and Rockyare three that come to mind.

Favorite book: Coming up blank on this one. I read a lot, all different genres.

Favorite music album: Of all time, the Beatles White Album.

Favorite composer: For classical, G.F. Handel. Also Beethoven.

Favorite artist: Again, no one name is coming to mind. I have a painting in my mind, but I can't think of his name.

Least favorite genre of art: There's a lot about modern art that I don't get. Jackson Pollock's work -- well, I can splash paint all over a big canvas too, but it doesn't make me an artist.

When are we going to get new tattoos?!?!

I always have several projects going. I do cross stitch some, but my other favorite craft is knitting. Did you know you can knit a flogger? ;)

I make a lot of star quilts. I like all of the traditional blocks.

As a matter of fact, I mostly do the smaller pieces. I don't normally make bed quilts -- they're too big and heavy for me to deal with.

I make a mean lasagna. Yummy. And I consider guacamole and chips one of the finer things in life.

Oh let's see, we can go... how about sometime in the first two weeks of February? :)

My butt enjoyed talking to your butt very much. Seems your butt is a witty urbane conversationalist. :D

So, can I come visit for guac and chips?!?!? And the first two weeks in February works for me as long as the weather isn't horrendous. I'll even come with bells on!!!

Thank you for all your incredible posts and clear insight!

If you could write one book, what would it be?

Previous sleep deprived post revised, revisited and rehashed.

Only had 45 minutes sleep, this could go anywhere.

1: What the fuck kind of colour is periwinkle?

2: Did you choose it because it had the word winkle in it?

3: Isn't it just a paler version of Aubergine?

4: Is it wrong to ask a grandmother about her masturbation habits?

5: What is 4 x 73?

6: Did question four make you blush?

7: Did you have trouble working out question five because you were still blushing from question four?

8: I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, and When you're in Love?

9: Who was your favourite subject in school?

10: I don't suppose you have any idea what the other two questions I had written down earlier were?

11: Where do you get your patience* from?

12: Have you ever laughed so hard it hurt?

13: What was it about?

14: Did you pee yourself a little bit?

*Yes you are, you put up with my many moods and inconsistencies.

What better place to find out more about her.

Also, there is no reason you can't put your name on the list you know.

Thank you, fire breeze. That's very kind of you. :rose:

I've often thought I would enjoy writing a book about my take on life from the seat of a wheelchair. Not sure that interests anyone but me though.

Either that, or a book of really hot, dirty stories. ;)

Only had 45 minutes sleep, this could go anywhere.

1: What the fuck kind of colour is periwinkle? It's a good color, but maybe not so much for walls.

2: Did you choose it because it had the word winkle in it? How did you know?

3: Isn't it just a paler version of Aubergine? Is that Aussie for purple? Kinda sorta but it has a lot more blue in it.

4: Is it wrong to ask a grandmother about her masturbation habits? Depends how well you know the grandmother in question. And how fast you can talk after she knocks all your teeth out for your impertinence.

5: What is 4 x 73? 292

6: Did question four make you blush? Nope. I'm not a grandmother so I knew I was off the hook. The only grandchildren I have are of the four-legged feline variety.

7: Did you have trouble working out question five because you were still blushing from question four? Didn't even need a calculator.

8: I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, and When you're in Love? Some Enchanted Evening maybe.

9: Who was your favourite subject in school? A guy named Keith. (No, not him, so you can just wipe that knowing smirk off your cute little face.) He made my heart go pitterpatter.

10: I don't suppose you have any idea what the other two questions I had written down earlier were? Nope, not a clue.

11: Where do you get your patience* from? I lost a lot in the recent Big Menopause War. I dole out the rest on a case by case basis.*

12: Have you ever laughed so hard it hurt? Oh yes, many times.

13: What was it about? I can't tell you. Ask Cathleen.

14: Did you pee yourself a little bit? No I have to say I've never experienced that phenomenon. Unless I already had to pee in the first place. I am a pee procrastinator.

*No more than you put up with my nagging and butting in. We'll call it even

Is that Aussie for purple? Kinda sorta but it has a lot more blue in it.

It's Aussie (not really, French or Italian or some-such) for Eggplant.

The only grandchildren I have are of the four-legged feline variety.

Descripton?

Some Enchanted Evening maybe.

Sort of, but I was hoping for more detail although that in itself does supply some information.

Nope, not a clue.

It's ok, I think it was the pee ones.

Acceptable

Ask Cathl

Like she'd tell, thieves of a feather and all that.

Thanks BeeG.
