To my beloved and cherished coauthors, past, present and future,

By this time tomorrow, I will be verily engaged with the process of packing up and shipping out for my first attendance of the Burning Man festival. I'm more than a little nervous, unsure what to expect and slightly daunted by the idea of being away from both cell and internet coverage for over a week, but I believe in my ability to endure such trails undaunted.

Unfortunately for you, beloved coauthors, this means that any and all threads waiting on replies by this time tomorrow will remain neglected for 7-10 days while I absorb dust and intake drugs for a week in the desert. I thank you in advance for your collective patience and understanding.

If all goes as planned, I should be back and writing with increased imaginative prowess by early September.

To all my partners-

Had a minor accident during a fire drill at work late last week and ended up with a lots of interesting bruises and a minor concussion (suffice it to say that I ended up getting knocked down the stairs when the gentleman behind me stumbled and couldn't catch himself on the railing). Besides looking like I was on the wrong end of a fight (damn cement stairs hurt!), I have just enough of a lingering headache where I just can't think through plot lines right now.

Hopefully i'llbe on the mend soon, and hope ya'll will continue to have patience on my delayed responses.

So it seems my computer has finally given up the e-ghost. I'm heading out of town for a bit at the end of this week, so it's semi-good timing anyway, but it looks like it'll be later this month before I'm really back and in writing shape.

SRP's Why I walked away

To all those I had or currently have RP's with, thank you for sharing your words, thoughts and fantasies. I have decided to walk away from all my rp's, and most of lit in general. Sometimes the best things in life happen when you are not looking. I have met two great people on lit, one is quickly becoming my best friend, the other is someone who is pushing all my limits and boundries. I never came here looking for anything more than quick fun. Glad I stopped by.

People are waiting on me, and for that I apologize. Having a couple of sad, run-down days, and trying to get caught up on sleep.

If my inbox is any indication, my recent absence has already been profoundly noted, and I'm missed already.

I'm truly touched.

The fact of the matter is that school has resumed (not unique to me, or unforseen) and in addition to my general course load, this quarter I'm overseeing the final stages of my school's statewide lit magazine (goes to print Monday).

As it's my last term at uni, I'm trying to do as much as possible while the resources available to me are still at my disposal (writing a poetry chapbook and a truncated version of a novel, in addition to the lit mag project which has been expanded to include a foil embossed cover).

After the first book is sent off to the press on Monday I should have some time to get caught back up (after settling up my sleep debt of course). This is why I've been so unreachable of late, as I've been spending 50+ hours buried in layouts and Adobe software.

Being that I am also in University (and super jealous that you're in your last semester - grrr!) I understand completely Sharky, school comes first always!

As much as I hate to do it, I need to take a short lit break for a month or two. The RW is happening at a furious pace and I need to keep up. I will be back. I hope all my co-writers will understand and be willing to continue when I get back.

I can't say how much I appreciate everyone I've written with and I am looking forward to many more stories soon.

For my friends here on Lit, I will be back. I just need to focus for a bit.

I've had a rather long period of absence again. These absences are seasonal in nature, it seems. Late fall to early spring are no good to me as I fall into a pattern of depressive thoughts and behaviour. If it happens again I will give my co-writers ample warning. This is too good to be ruined by me disappearing without notice, and I'm fortunate to have such gracious co-writers as I've been blessed with.
