I love your stories about Audrey. Our Blitzen, a neutered guy, has very similar behavior patterns. He is my daughter's cat, and always goes a bit crazy for attention when she isn't around, and now that she is leaving home for summer vacation and college afterwards in a week's time , I am wondering how long it will be till he adjusts. Actually am worrying about how we are going to adjust to an empty nest... ack!!!

I love your stories about Audrey. Our Blitzen, a neutered guy, has very similar behavior patterns. He is my daughter's cat, and always goes a bit crazy for attention when she isn't around, and now that she is leaving home for summer vacation and college afterwards in a week's time , I am wondering how long it will be till he adjusts. Actually am worrying about how we are going to adjust to an empty nest... ack!!!

LOL - thanks Hong! I've noticed that you've been keeping your nose to the grindstone as of late - you need to look up every now and then...

Cats make an interesting character study, I am finding. John D. MacDonald (Creator of Travis McGee and one of my favorite authors) once wrote a book about his two cats. It was a pretty good read. I need to check in the garage and see if I still have it.

Empty nest. Weird business that. It takes awhile to adjust. And you notice weird stuff. When CJ went off to the Army things got kind of mopey for awhile. Anne kept making too much dinner. That may have had something to do with my gaining weight - cleaning up the left overs. We thought Nikki would celebrate big time having the room to herself. But she ended up preserving and cleaning CJ's space and protecting it, like she was going to be home tomorrow and want her bed, headphones and books. And toilet paper. I noticed usage went down about 50%. The kid couldn't blow her nose without using half a roll. She finally started using paper towels when she had to start buying her own.

But there is you and Mama. It can be a big party - a rebirth of the relationship when the kids are not in the house. Anne and I went bonkers, a friggin' orgy it was...

Coffee's on folks...

Monday - up and at 'em, tote the bale and all that... ... stuff

Okay, I'll be quiet...

btw... I dismantled the auto harp yesterday... had to fix a couple of springs... tuning it was a bugger....

need to find out about getting an A-minor bar..

This one is made different than most..obviously to be able to make it more convertable.

Got a new tuner... which I am very impressed with..has an analog meter...much easier to use than the digital one..

On sneaks in into air conditioned rooms and camps there for as long as the a/c is running.

Well Spaz the house hit the ML listing on Friday and I had a showing yesterday..the couple seemed interested..time will tell...In the meanwhile I have been sorting threw things,cleaning things out,throwing out lots of stuff....This is a small cottage house..but I have lived in the same house for 25 years sooooooooo yeah lots of stuff to go threw...

Hope things are going well with you..Weather has been beautiful
