The new computer arrived yesterday morning but it's still in its box. I'll have somebody from technical support come over and set it up for me :D

Such a day!!!!! Had the district manager pay a surpise visit to the store....10 steps into the store she starts bitchin......I could feel the color come to my face and the steam rise off the top of my head....Told her I would talk to her after i calmed down...I knew I was too mad and I would say something I regretted like "shove this job sideways up your ass" The new manger that started in december is a real nice lady but a terrible manager and I had it up to my eye balls covering her ass.....

In the mist of all this the real estate lady calls..... the couple accepted my counter offer....and I was tooooooooo pissed at the district manager to even celebrate.Stopped after work and signed the contact...my lawyer is reviewing it tonight...and the seller is having the house inspected on Saturday morning....if all goes well the closing date will be Aug 24th give or take a few days ...So all my plotting and planning to be in KC in September is working out so far!!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that all continues to go well....and I will be soooooooooooo pleased to never have to look at the district manager ever again....little twit

Good to hear about the house Beams. Sounds like your plans are coming none too soon too. I know how annoying the higher ups can be. I admire you for not losing it like I would probably do. :eek:

I guess we all had a hard night sleep last night. I didn't get to sleep until about 3 am and then I ended up waking up at about 7 so not a lot of sleep for me, but its ok. Sleep fuels the brain and I don't use that much. :D

I got coffee on... double strength...no bear claws...but cinamon rolls and blueberry muffins.

You got cars to design...songs to practice...and an early morning round of golf in your galoshes....now that's a word I haven't used in a long time. :)

I think I am going to go with the guitar playing today. I got a little fried with the cars getting that transmission calculator going. Some people can be pretty damned obtuse...

Ah, about half a cinimon roll for me, thanks. Work? Damn El...

Hey, I got your guitar in getting some new tuners on it and I got a used Taylor gig bag instead of that sorry assed cardboard case. We're on our own for finding a cover for the truss rod tho... And there is a little belly in it, but not much and it shouldn't be an issue with light guage strings.

The guy that is working on the guitar is named Rick Williams. He teaches there too, been there for about 20 years. He can play the hell out of the thing. Anyhow, he has a book and a website with free bluegrass lessons. It turns out I had been to the site - that is where I got the melody to Old Joe Clark that I have been trying to get up to speed. (file that in the "Small World" drawer.) So anyhow I bought his book - forgot to have him autograph it though...

Odd where one finds bluegrass people... In my last training course.... a two weeker...this instructor comes in all nice and proper...seems like a fun guy... but someone you would expect to be reading "Forbes" in his spare time.

Anyway... I'm downloading one of your emails songs on my laptop during break...and he notices...we start talking about bluegrass songs..

Turns out he is a pretty fine bluegrass guitarist...and is learning the dobro..let me listen to a couple of songs he and his friends had taped....

It seems that a lot of old rockers... have become closet bluegrass fans
