Think I am going to go lay on the couch...turn the fan on an wait for the Motrin to kick in...yup I'm taking a Motrin break :D

So much for taking a break  My phone rang off the wall....

OK I am pleased with what got done today...very pleased.... :D :D

I did GOOD.....and now I'm going to be BAD...yup going to take a drive and get an ice cream cone.....I sure as hell hope they have strawberry cheesecake cause that's what I REALLY WANT....

I was going to take a shower...butttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt....I swear I can hear the ice cream calling my name from a 1/4 mile away...

"You know you want me"

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I am going to feel soooooooooo delicious on your lips"

"Come on girl you haven't licked anything in way ttoooooooooo long"

"Close your eyes...can you feel me melt on your tongue?"

"Just wait till you feel me slide down your throat"

LMAO....ok maybe I'm just overworked....or maybe lack of touch has me just a bit whacked

Or maybe i'm just horny and the best I can do tonight is try to satisfy my taste with some ice cream...

WTH maybe it's all of the above :D :D :D

*Comes in, refills the coffee, reads Blooze's story, reads Beams last post, then downs the whole pot in one gulp* DAMN those are some good images going through my head.

Well the end of a ERY long day for me. My grandmother wanted help with her backyard that gort totaled after the renovations dumped all the trash on her lawn and killed it all.

So it took three of us to knock down a remaining wall from her old garage and a workbench infront of it, then I started on the tree she wanted gone, Mom couldn't get her chainsaw to work so I went after the tree with the AXE!!! It was fun, but I am SO going to pay for it for a few days. I also have to get organized since I start school again on Monday.

You are so right DiJit our bodies are going to pay for what we did today....but it will have been worth it to look back and say "Yeah I did Good"

Fyi...

Am sure you heard the news about the initial cave in here that trapped six miners. This evening, there was an additional cave in that has apparently killed one of the rescue miners, and injured as many as nine others. There is also an unconfirmed report that three or four others have not as yet been accounted for.

Been a hard couple weeks here for the mining community thats for sure. :(

Man, that is tough, coal mine... gives me the shivers. I am aquainted with Tuella, and the mine that was there that my buddy worked in for a while. It had a wierd upside down kind of shrink stope, and hearing that it caved in would not surprise me. I don't know this coal mine. I was fortunate. I never had to go into one - hardrock miner here.

I give Audrey another dose of the catnip on her scratchin' post. She does have a party with that stuff. Made me want to light up, watching her.

Coffee's on...

and its...

Friday :rose:

Hey DiJit how's your body doing today????

Mine is still paying the price for moving all the stuff around yesterday

Leaving in about 5 minutes family...I have to work half a shift today...and tomorrow almost a 13 hour one...but then I will have 4 off to finish getting everything out of this place...I'm getting there. Got some people to pick up some of the furniture today and Sunday and Monday the rest should be gone so that will give me a couple of days to finish cleaning for the new family. My Computer will be gone probably Tuesday so I will M.I.A. till I get to KC on Sept 5th...I'm sure Mav will keep you all up to date for me.

Kisses and Hugs....and hide the ice cream cause I got the urge to LICK :p :p

Heavens to Betsy - what a day.

Running all over T Town. Had to take a guitar to the Doctor, had to take Nikki to her Doctor (not to worry - she is in a support group for handicapped young women who have lost their mother. A rather finite definition of a group one would think, but they aren't lacking for members.)

The prognosis for the guitar is that it will require a new saddle, and of course strings, and it should be back on its feet in about 2 weeks.

The prognosis for the Nick Unit. By golly, its looking up. I keep seeing glimpses of the young woman she is meant to be. Tonight she quite efficiently dug her cell phone out of her jeans and called her Title 19 provider to let her know that she wouldn't be home tonight because of the group session. She explained it with a minimum of stuttering around, and when the conversation was done, said "goodbye" and snapped her phone closed.

"There," she said, "that was easy." Like for the world to hear. "My business is easy. Leave it to me."

We laughed and joked on the way into town after I picked her up from work. We were going to the guitar shop (Guitar House of Tulsa - gotta pimp these guys, they do a good job.) Nikki likes going there. Bob and Rick treat her nice and friendly and remember her name. She also feels confident and important there, because her Dad can play "really, really, good" as she puts it.

As me and Rick discussed the sorrowful condition of the saddle on the Koa wood guitar (5040) she shopped as only a woman can shop, through all the stuff only a woman would shop for. T shirts, guitar flavoured hat pins and such and guitar straps - you know, accessories. Every once in a while she would look up at me and smile, as if to let me know she was fine, and to not worry about her - "take care of your business."

After we had it all lined out what was going to happen to the guitar, Nikki and I went looked at the music books. If it says "Gospel", she can see if from a 100 yds. She'd found what looked like a home made book of old bluegrass gospel songs. She didn't know many of the tunes - she frowned and put it back on the shelf. She looked so grown up just then, a tad disgusted that the treasure she'd thought she'd found was of little value. I'd see her Mom look the same way at countless "Wear It Again Sam" stores.

We had a late lunch at a Burger King, she set the table up for us... napkins, straws in our drinks, salt packets and ketchup cups divied up evenly between us. And when we were done, she got up and cleaned the table off.

I was so proud of her. Anne has worked so hard. CJ has worked so hard. And it is coming around. She's growing up. She's growing up finally, and growing up well.

Early night, early morning... I will try not to fall asleep again tomorrow morning... :D

Love ya all...

:rose: :)

I think I am going to be real pleased that I escaped most of the hot summer weather of the midwest....it gets hot here but it never stays around long....funny when i came home from work tonight I shut all the windows in the house..I was Cold...
A wicked cold front moved in during the afternoon...the kind of wind I call "small people and small car warning"....blows you all over the place...good thing I had a long skirt on otherwise walking threw the parking lot on my way to work a shorter skirt would have been up an in my face and I would have flashed everyone
Now flashing my cowboy is one thing.... flashing the whole mall parking lot is another
Well off to bed I'm leaving at 8:30 in the morning and won't be back till 10 tomorrow night...i got the open to close shift cause the boss is on vacation....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh are they going to miss me when I'm gone...
Glad you had a good day Chief...I did too

Heyyy... listen to that.

I don't hear nothin'

I know, don't it sound good?

I like the quiet in the morning - speakin' of which, do you have to play that bluegrass stuff all the time?

Do you know what it is that you don't hear?

Huh?

What is it that you don't hear?

You done lost your last marble, dint you... Okay I give - what is it that I don't hear?

The air conditioner.

Huh?

You don't hear the air conditioner. It means the cold front got here.

You know, sometimes you really piss me off with your weird shit...

Oh, go sit in a corner and chew on your paws...

The Coffee is on...

And the air conditioner is off. :D

things are coming together.....the house will close on the 24th...leaving on the 31st to start my journey cross country stopping at a couple places along the way to visit friends and family....

One chapter of my life will have ended an a new chapter will begin...dam how cool is that!!!!!

OK I think I'm going to be still for a few minutes and enjoy the silence....count my blessing

You got to be developing a serious case of butterflies Punkin... That is a BIG change coming down the road... :)

Fall.

I remember Fall last year. Somehow that sticks out. It was fall.

Maybe it was because the weather finally broke and she couldn't enjoy it. I don't know.

Now all I got is days without her. Nights. Mornings. I don't know what God has in mind for me, leaving me here like this - but he's going to have to tell me. Otherwise, I will just drive my cars and play my guitars in my bedroom until I finally die.

I will stop now... I promised El.

:) :rose:

If you were not here Chief....you would have missed the moments yesterday with Nicki...priceless moments that make your heart swell

Yeah, there is that.

Still, the reality of what a bad deal that is hits me.

Anne is dead and I am alone for how long just so Nikki could grow up? Was that the plan?

uggghhh, probably not a good morning for this discussion.

Let's talk about cars.

or Guitars.

This guy is pretty cool. I like him. I subscribed to his what ever it is on YouTube - he is strictly amateur I think. But he could go pro. I would buy his record, I would pay to see him live.
