A little update on R.....he is doing well...his bout with Mono the acute stage seemed to last only a week or so and he is on the road to recovery. Weird thing about the Mono it made the glands in his neck huge for 3 or 4 days but that was almost a blessing as it put pressure on the cyst in his neck and the cyst broke on it's own so he will not need another surgery.

He has been such a huge help with everything. His senior year of school starts the day after labor Day..this time next year he will be heading off to college and making his mark on the world...~smiles~ he has made one hell of a mark on mine

Blessed I have been blessed....

I can dig the "sleep" is hard to come by thing...

'cept it is really wierd right now. I don't sleep much, but I sleep a lot. Sounds crazy huh. What it is, I sleep all day in snatches and grabs. Who knows...

Anyhow... I imagine this is setting up to be a long two weeks. Specially with most of the heavy work out of the way.

:) $

I should have done some of this differently.....I should have just left my job on the 18th like I originally planned. But I felt bad as they had no replacement...so I said I would work part time the last 2 weeks...So back to work I go tomorrow.

I will be staying with MJ who is my best friend in the world but honestly her house is just nuts....crazy.....
I am used to having my own little quiet space at the end of my work day...her house is anything but quiet....that's going to be a little tough to deal with
Ahhh it's only for a week or so....I'll get threw... ;)

Maybe you better throw some rum in my coffee this morning Macx....geeze i'm getting all teary eyed here..
Mr. B leaves today for his new home out in the country. He will love it out there I have no doubt..but he has been a wonderful companion for both Ryan and I and saying goodbye will be tough

Oh enough sniffing and tears...

Pat yourself on the back girl....be proud of yourself....all your hard work has paid off...it's almost over and soon you will have exactly what you want...to lay your head on your mans chest..feels the warmth of his arms around you and know that all is right with the world....

thanks for letting me rattle this morning with you Chief...yup I think I really needed that

Oh, I feel for you today little one. You are coming down to the short strokes, and now there is waiting. Saying byes, and see ya laters, tough things and it is going to drag out.

I bet you are ready to hit the road.

You have a good day little Bit. I am off to do my morning walk. RJ keeps coming by and insisting that I walk with him.

It messes up my day entirely, but I humor him...

:)

I think there is a law, determined by the number of steps - the "fuck up" possibilities go up exponentially. That is why I have had to tone my cooking exploits down to
-remove plastic
-microwave for 1:30
-let sit for 2:00
-enjoy
I only screw that up once or twice a week. It is the "let sit for 2:00 part that keeps getting me. I keep jumping the gun on it. I'm sure I would "Enjoy" more if I could just get myself to wait...

Good morning Rainee...
Looking rather spiffy there in your shower suit, I might add... :D

:rose: $

heh, you guys forget the easy stuff...... I forget to put the pot back under the coffee maker...beautiful dark rich coffee... runnning across the counter and down on to the floor.....tis a sad sight when one returns to the kitchen :(

I'm glad there is somone there who has your best interest at heart... I think you would become a friggin hermit if we let you.... but we are not going to let you... tough shit :D

Morning Macx.... just cause I'm not around much lately doesn't mean I'm gonna stop harassing you.

And remember... your gonna have visitors soon. :)

I took delivery on a cherry 2006 Z06 Corvette today. Went out for a little practice on Road Atlanta...

Soon as ole Willis get's her put back together, I gonna go practice some more...

:) $

Road Atlanta can be a bitch, should have taken the driving school first..................spent many a Sunday watching drivers come up the hill thru the curves on the back of the course..........:D

Hey Chief You got a before picture of that car?????
This is not a before picture. It looks sort of like it did before, except it has the front spoiler and the wing now.

http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pATL_H3rUMqeXUIb2-37geeA1pLFO3CAH4P3KoXCYML_MKXOqTlxS62eKj_vZ3KMdmyVUFnbM_SVFozyzMyqxL74yGVwEQpSK

So, I says to Willis, I says, "How come you stuck all that aerodynamic stuff on the car? It's gonna slow me down."

And Willis, he just snorts, and goes back to cleanin' his tools.

I think that Willis thinks that I needed something to tie me down to the road a bit in that car. Ehh, probably true. That first picture was off in the weeds on the outside of turn one... I was down shifted to 3rd and still doin' 120 and the thing just floated off the road.

But it would turn 214 down to Charlottesville on the big oval. That was fun.

Ah well, can't make no money driving around out in the weeds and bouncing off the concrete barriers.

Today I'm gonna see if I can break a 56.5 on the short track with it. That is my current best on the track, 56.520. If I can get into the 55s, it will put me in the top 800 of the world for an A Class car.

Oh, the coffee is cooked. I'll be right back.

I got to help Willis trailer the car. He get's all grouchy when he has to do it himself and Eph is more trouble than he's worth with that sort of stuff. Eph was a bit pissed anyhow. That's the third time this week he's had to paint that car and he's getting tired of looking at the colour.

LOL - that big sweeper coming up the hill can make or break you on that track. You need to carry as much speed as you can and keep from sliding off the road as you top out onto the back straight.

That isn't a problem in the D and C cars, but them A cars can get going fast enough that they get all unweighted when they clear the top... kind of spooky when the wheel goes all loose - you just hang on and hope the car is pointed right when the weight comes back down...

Okay, so Willis is headed out for the track, I got to meet him there in a couple hours. I hope I don't wreck his car for him today. It just ruins his day when I do that.

So anyhow, where's my donut?

Yeah, I'll be sittin' on this for a few days...

Some how El found out I'd sort of skipped my pills for a couple weeks and chewed my ass out good...

Oops, speakin' of which. I better go take them damned things now while I'm thinking about it...

It is a good thing you have a great friend who cares about you. It would take a lot to make them squeal. They aren't going to let a serious thing like this pass, though, you made some promises.....

you got the Vette repaired yet? Put some weight low in the frame...and keep it on the road  :D

Yeah, I know... I'm embarassed.

Only thing I can do to help the Vette is put some aerodynamics on it. A splitter in the front and back and a wing. If I take anymore weight off it they'll bump me up to S Class and then I'll have to have more power to compete.

We are having a round robin happy hour on Mugello over in Italy today. I'll see how the Vette handles itself there. There's going to be a Honda NSX Type-R, a custom AWD Integra and a Subaru 22B there as well. It could be interesting. And you know how those stuffy Italian Ferrari fellers get when us good ole boys show up.

I hear Wild Wilbur is bringin' his guitar and a keg of Coors... :nana:

:D $

Yeah, well, like you said, "can't make no money driving around out in the weeds and bouncing off the concrete barriers." ;)

Good morning Blooze.

So good to see you on. Gettin closer to having Beam here and a little while after that before we pay you a visit. I'm looking forward to that. Will depend on her days off which vary and how fast she gets settled in. :D

The vette looks better running down the track rather than in the weeds. ;)

You know, for all that money, you'd think them Vettes would be better in the grass than that... ;)

By golly - I am going to have to get a broom out and knock some of the cobwebs down... Company's a comin'
