Your a good man Blooze, I mean that ... :rose:

I'll put some coffee on. It was a hard, crazy weekend and seems I'll be up for a while. Sleep has escaped ...

 :rose:
Well, I don't know about the good man part. I seem to have my eyes on me a lot lately. I don't like that, and can't seem to shake it. But I thank you for the thought... :)

Coffee's a good idea. Go ahead and make a commitment. If sleep is out, might as well wake up... :D

What was hard and crazy about your weekend? Were you filled with Godly rage and indignation as well...

My crazy weekend ... Oh my where to start, lol.

My three kid's decided to wring out every moment in every day. Outta school with lotz to do and be done, they decided. A trip to the lake to swim again. It's been so terribly hot here and they have sooooooo much energy.

Then my daughter had a friend over night. Which meant, I gotta sleep in the floor, grrrrr. They kept me up all hours, I didn't getta write, play or watch anything I wanted and then my boys, heck on wheels, 'nuf said? lol

Sunday found us at the flea market, them wanting everything and running off on a new adventure with a drop of a hat, poof... gone. Rounding them up brought us home and then my parents and uncle came by. We hadn't seen them in quiet a while, so ...

All I wanted was a lil ... ittty bitta rest and relaxation, never happened, lol. Now a new week and off to school for them, me ... I have so many chores and running to do today, it aint funny .. sooooo

That about caps it off, well I did leave out the part of their father harassing us all weekend and me loosing my cool over that, but I will refrain from going there   I better get'm up and off.

Will be back later and check up on everyone ~~ Thank you Blooze for listening, just another day in the neighborhood eh .. ;)

Yeogh!! sometime you need to find a book about the Seven Habits of Successful People. In there they talk about a thing called Unnecessary Imperatives. Phone calls are those, specially if its a salesman. Anyhow, learning to manage the Unnecessary Imperatives is important to a peaceful life. Good luck. I'm still trying to figure it out...

Maybe after the kids are off to school...

:) $

Beamer wanted me to tell everybody that her internet is down this morning. Must be a Road Runner thing cause the cable is still working (not like they shut her off prematurely).

She will post this morning if they get it back up before she has to go to work.

;) :D

:D I use the newer method..if I don't recognize their number ( or maybe if I do  ) I let the answering machine get it....then if I recognize their voice we pick it up...otherwise they better have a good reason for calling other than to tell me there is a sale on vinyl siding

Yeah, I know it ain't nice...but all my friends can have the cell number if they want it. :)

The only thing I remember Jesus evey getting pissed about in the Bible was "religious" people and those trying to make a buck off his name.. He seemed to be pretty forgiving to the rest of us screw-ups.

Hey all...

When and if you get a chance, and want to...I just finished two major pieces, a warriors club and lance.

Blooze....FYI and you might appreciate this. A long time ago I told Syb that I had always wanted to do a lance and place my spear point on it in order to do it justice, but was always afraid to do so in case I ruined it. Syb told me she thought I should do just that, and let the Spirits help me put it together. I finally did. She was right.

Anyway...just check out "Many Feathers Trading Post" in my sig line below for a look see at our latest works for those who are interested.

That really looks neat MF. You must feel good knowing that you have a wall that would make most museum curators green, that is as authentic as it can be, and you created it yourself.

Good Job! :)

How have things been going with you folks? Starting to normalize a little?

Good morning little one... thanks for getting the java going...

I hope what ever you got going goes the way you want it to go. :)

...and am looking foward to the good news later today.

Speaking for my brain... "it is sort of slow in here today." There's some non-pressing chores that need ignored, other than that...

I think I will change the strings on, hmmm..., don't have a name for this guitar yet... the flame maple Fusion Folk with the Tobacco Sunburst finish. (boy, it needs a name - that is a mouthfull...) Anyhow, I am making a commitment in my head to get down to Uncle BJs for the Tuesday night jam.

Did you see the eclipse? Annie would have loved that. I wish she had been here to see it.

Ah well, hope you all have a good day.

:) :rose:

A simple search in the web would have given you ample information.

Half of Peloponnese http://www.superbgreece.com/Greece_map/images/greece_regions_01.gif has burnt down... hundreds of small towns and villages destroyed, 61 deaths so far, thousands of people left homeless and penniless. And nature has been wounded in a way that it will take decades to heal, if ever.

Just thought you might want to know that there is pain and despair elsewhere as well.

Well, I did spend some time on the web reading about it. The question was meant to be conversational.

And I never had any doubt that pain and despair are conditions being dealt with all over the world.

Devistation of that magnitude, scope, rarely just pops up. They are usually the result of a number different factors that fate seems to have gathered over a number of years to produce the disaster. That's more or less what I was asking.

I'm sorry that your country is going through such a hard time.

I'm sippin coffee again, lol.

It's been an incredibly long day, but a great one. :rose: I went over the mountain and had a blast. Ya'll should have seen all that mist rising up this morning, the stuff many a dream is made up of, just ... awe inspiring. It was so cool out as I was driving, I rolled the windows down and at one point I was freezing, lol ... I just cannot believe the difference in the weather just a few miles over a big ass hill, lol. Yes, it got really steamy later on but, I just loved the drive and visiting my friend. I had a fantabulously wonderful day. hmmmmmm, sighs*

Blooze : I'm wishing I could help name your new guitar but I have a feeling once you get to playing it, the name will come to you. Have fun with it and play us a tune or two ... I love, music, most any kind at that, lol ... and to sit and listen to someone playing while having a great time, it's a lottt of fun.

AND I forgot about the eclipse until my daughter mentioned it this evening. *pouts*

Have a GREAT evening my friends ...

:rose:

Evening all!

Blooze, I hope you had fun down at the Tuesday Night Jam. Looks like we are in for a bit of a cool down for a little bit. Hope it makes it as far as your neck of the woods and clear across the country. We all need a break.

RF, so glad your trip was so good. I guess it paid to get all "smexy". :D

Beam has given up the computer today. The cable company turned off the service and she figured she might as well send it over to her ex's house.

Now she is down to a mattress, a little round table for her coffee, the computer chair so she can sit and drink her coffee and the TV and Rs bedding in the living room. She still hasn't heard anything on the closing. Her lawyer is doing all he can to find out but no one is talking.

She is hoping for the best and trying to stay positive but the waiting is getting tough without hearing anything.

She sends her love. I am trying to keep her up on the craziness and fun as we go along here at Lit.

If it helps any, tell your daughter one had to be pretty far west to see much.
apparently Blooze got a much better view than we did, just by having that 20 more minutes of darkness. (OK, so maybe the fact that my eylids were mostly still closed had something to do with it  )

It is always good the hear a plan go together and work out the way one had hoped :) Glad you had a great time!.. as far as the heat...a month from now it will be perfect.. (you might want to petition MF for a rain dance though)

Good morning folks!

It sounds like a good re-generating day RF. I like parking my butt high and watching the morning mist. I worked a situation for a summer that was like that most every morning. I was a logging show over by Gunnison Co. and camped on the side of a mountain that overlooked a resevoir (I've forgotten the name and its too early for maps).

Most mornings I was usually at work when the Sun came a creeping into the valley below and burned the mist off, I would glance at the view occasionally, but it was mostly just part of my surroundings as I went about the business of getting a load of logs on the ground before lunch.

However, there were some mornings, usually cool ones, when I would kick off my little camp fire and have an extra cup of coffee and watch the day progress in the valley below. I saw deer and elk feeding in meadow below me every once in a while. As Summer moved into Fall, I saw Vs of Canadian geese disappear into the mist below me, and later the honking and fussing around of them conducting their business would come up the side of the mountain on the breeze.

It was a neat way to start the day. One of the things I want to get done this summer is to get a Mexican fire pot moved out by the red maple in the back yard. That way I can go out there and have me a little camp fire with my morning coffee this fall. That grounds me. Sitting and looking into the fire as the day starts. I imagine a different time, when I would have sat there sharpening a spear or two and plotting and planning on how to kill the beast for the winter meat without getting all scuffed up.

Speaking of plotting and planning - nothing went as I planned yesterday, but it was a good day. RJ showed up not long after lunch and announced that he was in the neighborhood visiting the elderly and thought I might want to see what a 3-D person looked like. So I broke out Syb's little clay pipe and the contraband and he and I smoked a couple bowls. Got properly fried, we did.

We went shopping for wheels for the car he is buying for Little J. There has to be 50 or so real world variations of aftermarket wheels modeled in the game. We bolted them all on, spun the car, zoomed in and out on it, trying on the new wheels. We decided on the Fiske Profil 5S wheels. It was an adventure, an ordeal. Each set of wheels involved a new conversation that usually led to something else. We laughed until we had snot all over our selves. Got powder mouth and had to take a Sprite break.

All in all it was a great afternoon, but I was in no shape to deal with loading my amp and stuff up in the Van, let alone getting my act together to deal with the public at large, so I shined that on. I will be trying to switch out the guitars that are racked in my studio so that Flame (interim name) is my main guitar for a while, give Curlie a break.

There is a group of us - We are known in the Forza world as Muscle Inc. - that have been working on creating a replication of the old NASCAR days using the Muscle cars in the game. I chose the GTO for my car.

http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pATL_H3rUMqcs1oRBznfEIPZapuL7vIKcpm_qBzkpZmL53HWUkcixMVhgVTx-n4N3ubVeWDvHQr3NM4unifY-fFwZAG6HiUC5

The other guys have similarly painted Camaros, Mustangs, and Barracudas. The hard part is running the races. The 2 x 2 rolling starts, the yellow flags, regrouping and restarting. It is all a lot harder than one would think. There have been some fantastic pile ups - one involving everybody at turn 1 of the first lap after the green dropped. We gave up on that one and reset the race. The cars all run at about 189/190 top speed and can get to 196 in the draft, but it takes close formation driving.

So we've been practicing what we call Ricky Bobby racing and laughing our butts off at our failures. It is a good thing these are virtual cars. I must have tore up 20 vintage '68 GTO hardtops yesterday.

***

Poor Beamer. That has to be driving her crazy. To have done so good getting her ducks in a row and to have these other folks botching her plans up. I hope her lawyer can get it squared away, and that she can remain patient through the process. She's done so good so far. Give her my love, Mav. :)

Are any of you having trouble with Lit as of late? The notice that somebody has posted seems to have quit all together, and yesterday I got notices of double posts for everything that I tried to post. I wonder if they need to take it down and reboot - give the RAM on the various servers a chance to defrag and clear its throat.

So, my plans for today...

Let's see - I still have those chores to think about... past that I don't know. I think I will just try to stay light on my feet and move with the flow...

I have had to swear off buying guitars, but I still need a couple cases - I was watching an old Alvarez case on eBay, thinking I may jump on it if it stayed reasonable. I quite watching when it hit $132. WTF  This is a used case. Somebody wanted the thing bad. It ended up going for $142. That is almost as much as the guitar that I wanted to put in it. Guess I'll keep looking.

Let's see... (I use too many elipses - have to work on that) I think I'll hit the Submit button, I need to pee.

:D $

Heavens!!

That is an ungainly looking thing. You have to appreciate the skill and musicianship of that guy. But the instrument has problems. It lacks the classic lines of a guitar I guess... something. It doesn't look like it would ever be a comfort, just a chore.

Weird sounding I know, but - the guy could play it. It would be funny to have one of those, and to have spent all that time learning to finger pick on it, and then get a gig where the leader says, "knock that crap off and just give me a boom, chucka back beat in E..."

You think fate was responsible for 300 fires starting within a couple of hours? And 60-70 more each following day for three days? Sorry, that's too much for me to accept as coincidence or natural causes.

Sort of...guess like you I am more retired than not. Which isn't necessarily a good thing, but at the moment a medical problem which I won't go in to is making finding and getting a job a real pain in the ass at the moment. So guess we'll see. Mieke's insurance will kick in, in another month...but then there's the problem of "pre-exisiting conditions".

Meanwhile, I really am trying to get our jewelry business up and running. My son in law is going to help me with a web-site (I hope) to show off the pieces we're doing...then hopefully start to actually sell some of this stuff over the net. I guess my concern is...this isn't junk jewelry, so it ain't cheap...but it ain't over priced either. Just a lot of hours and materials go into some of these pieces, so I'd like to at least make it worth while when doing one. The really time-consuming stuff I am having to do as special orders as I need to make sure I have a sale on it before putting in the time and effort and expenses. So gonna be interesting for a while I think.

Beyond that...doing ok for a little while yet. Hope things are doing better for you as well Blooze!

Morning Blooze.

I hope you are figuring out which chores to ignore or are actively contemplating the decision. :D

It has cooled down nicely here for at least a few days. I hope the cool down makes it your way.

Have a wonderful day, my friend. Beamer sends her love!
