RJ is doing good this morning. The kidney is hard at work cleaning up his system. There's certain levels of various things that are measured to regulate when Dialysis is complete or needs to run some more - those are lower for RJ now than they have been for many years.

CJ is bummed. She has a bit of a cold so she can't go in to visit RJ - she can just wave at him through the glass. They had to totally shut his immune system down for the operation and it is going to take a few days to come back on line. Anybody that goes near him right now has got to be in full sterile mode - gloves, hat, mask, little shoe booties. The whole nine yards.

Oh, Heck! I'm sorry! I got all a tangle yesterday and never even got a chance to open this room up.

RJ is doing fantastically. All the tests that they can run say, "Full functioning kidney." Little Sarge is so tickled and so happy. Ends up being pretty funny.

Her voice catches, her eyes tear, "He took a pee..."

It is pretty cool. Thirteen years of dialysis, that is over. SS is going to cut him off in another three years - he'll have to get a job. So much about his/their live is going to change.

Well... good on Missouri! Now this sure does make this weekend's game interesting. El and his lady are all a root and holler for the Tigers too. I am sort of for them to in that respect. All you guys sure would be happy if they won.

However, I am from Oklahoma... and I am a pretty big Bob Stoopes fan. It sure is going to be tough on you guys when OU whips yer butts.



Tonight is the finals for Dancing With the Stars. RJ's Mom is a big fan of the show as well as CJ and I - so we are going have us a little watch party tonight. Marie Osmond said it on Larry King last night, her competition is Julianne Hough - I think Julianne and Emilio are going to win it.

Coffee pot just made its "I'm done now" gurgle. I think I'll get a cup with a bit of rum in it. How about you? Would you like some rum in your coffee this morning?

Don't know about Missouri....except that if they play the game they are capable they could trounce OU. Their psyche seems to get shaky when they play historicaly good teams

So... which coach will have his guys ready for San Antonio? An observation on my part. Just looking at the style of the two coaches, I think OU will be in better condition to play the game. Missouri is going to be hyped, and have been hyped since coming out of the shower after the Kansas game. Missouri's coach seems like the rah rah type to me. He is counting on emotion filled intangibles - Stoopes will have his team counting on enforced adherance to basics.

Here's Triple B's latest entry into the current S Class Fracus in the World of GT racing. We were searching for a car that would represent the US in the run for S Class Supremacy - and even though it is a reworked Mitzubishi, it still carries an US moniker - Dodge. It is listed as an American Car.

It began this stage of its life in the back row of a fly by night used car dealership. It had been a kid's car, and it showed in so many ways, the most distressing being the constant stream of grey-blue smoke bubbling out of the exhaust pipes. The engine was toast, and Lord only knows what else.

That didn't matter to us, because we were going to upgrade everything anyway. We are in the final stages of tuning - probably going to have a custom gear set cut for Mopar Racing 6 speed. Even without it the car has a 0-60 in less than 2.5 seconds, and a 0-100 in just 5.5 seconds. That is quick. It is topping out at damn near 200 mph now, and will hold in excess of 1.2 G's on the skid pad. It will handle all the way out to 2 G's - but you better have your line right when you when you are straining the car that hard - it is very, very close to sending you off into the cheap seats when you run it that hard.

We were able to get a pretty good deal out of Dodge/Mopar for the initial testing - they sent a film crew down to document the build, just in case we were right and lucky.

In a fit of holiday season dumbiosity I bought a quart of Egg Nog.

This morning I took a big pull off the bottle while standing at the open refridgerator. The Sweet hit me so hard I shuddered and almost dropped the bottle. If the door hadn't been open with me hanging on to it, I most certainly would have hit the deck.

It may take two rum dollups to clear that sticky sweet from my pallet - which is mostly geared towards cigarettes, hot peppers, and grease anyway.

I suspect that the remainder of that egg nog is going to go the way of last night's dinner... into the toilet.
