Good morning Mav! :)

I appreciate that! I sure wish I would have moved them to the external drive...

Ah well, procrastination and hind sight...

:) $

Oh dear, have you tried an enclosure? I could read and copy stuff from my old hard drive after it died on me by putting it into an enclosure.
I only have one photo of Syb's, one that she had sent me herself long ago.
I'll send it or post it if you want.

:rose:

Ah, enclosure... I remember a discussion of sorts concerning that. Could you explain it again?

And could you post the picture? I would appreciate that!!

I think a good portion of my favorites are already archived on this site. Wouldn't that be fortunate? :D

Mine is an IcyBox but there are many kinds...

You put your old hard drive in it, you plug the enclosure into a working computer and you read it just like any other storage device.

Here is the photo. Syb and I had been discussing noses at the time... just before I went and had my nose job :)

Ah, cool. I will look into one of those tomorrow when our portion of the world is no longer on holiday...

LOL - Sybs and her nose. It took me the longest time to convince her that is was not the monstrosity she imagined it to be and that it gave her face a strong character.

Thank you!

That's what everybody used to say to me too... but I hated the damned thing ever since I was 15yo! One day I thought "to hell with everybody, I'm going to do what I feel is right for me to do" and went and had it fixed.
Afterwards, everybody would say... "Hey, that looks good, you ought to have done it years ago"

.

lol - sounds like you are surrounded with circumspect people. Besides, it doesn't take much deduction to figure out that if you tell a young lady that her nose enters a room quite a few seconds before her nipples, then you will most likely be trying to find out how far it was she kicked your nuts just before you passed out.

We could have had it done for medical reasons - a car wreck in her childhood had broken her nose and her sinuses gave her fits. But I think she came to view her nose and graying hair as badges of honor and if people didn't like them, well then, piss on 'em.

LOL Thats how I've come to look at myself. I know I sometimes LOOK like I was in a car wreck, but I have come to deal with it and it has, in a way, formed my sense of humor and my sense of self into what it is today.

I now have a very self-deprecating sense of humor. I also have come to the realization that since I am built so solid and since I don't really like or CARE how I look that much I can do something that I DO like. I can basically put myself out there and help take care of my friends. I now have been known to put myself out there and do things to keep them safe and healthy. I'm always the one to crawl into the tight spots or get down in the dirt so they won't have to. I bounce back alot better than some of them so I like to do what I can to help keep them in one piece.

...and Rania. I remeber you said you did it (or atleast hinted to it) but I have yet to actually SEE.

I wanna see!!!! Send me a pic will ya

Hey Dijit - how's it goin?

:) $

Goin good buddy

Wednesday is my last day before Summer. I'm gonna miss these guys, but we'll all be back.

We were talking about some of us getting together over the Summer and doing something fun. Not sure if our plans will come together, but it is something to work with.

That would be a case of your balls entering the other room several minutes before the rest of your body!:eek:

;)

I once estimated that if one were to whack a quarter inch off my dick, that I would wind up with an eighth inch scab on my ass...

Need some time to wrap my mind around this....

It confuses me as well. I don't know why I responded with that. Something along the lines of having one's balls transported to a neighboring time zone would have been more appropriate...

:D

Not that the previous statement is entirely without merit. It has a substance of sorts, a history at least.

It was delivered by a mining friend as we discussed the recent misfortunes of fellow miner, who shall remain nameless - if for no other reason than I can not remember it. At any rate, this fellow was in the process of sinking a vent connection, a short shaft that connects a ventilation drift to a production drift. He had finished drilling a hole and was trying to pull the drill out, but mud and drill cuttings had backed up against the bit and were making the job difficult.

After dealing with the problem for a small amount of time, the miner, in a fit of frustrated rage turned the drill on full blast and then bent his knees, wrapped his arms around the drill head, and then straightened his body with a mighty heave. The maneuver was a success and the drill came free.

However, the pelvic thrust associated with his heave, and the act of the drill coming free put his crotch and the drill's chuck into disastrous proximity - and the machine stomped about a half inch of flesh from the head of the poor man's tally-whacker.

And it is from that incident that speculation of what might happen should a portion of one of our own tally-whackers be stomped, chomped, or otherwise removed. Most of us agreed that we were in no position to donate even the slightest fraction and were more than willing to forego the experience.

One of the few safety lessons learned without having personally touched the stove...

Good morning ladies!! :D

Mercy!! Them goof-ball angels was tossin' tennis ball sized hail stones at us at about 70 mph yesterday. There were moments there where I considered jumping in the bath tub and kissing my ass good bye.

Consider if this house did get hit by a tornado - in the aftermath, down wind, folks would be staggerin' about and thinking that somewhere along the line that that tornado had taken out a guitar factory...

one fellow says, "looky here, I found a guitar!"

and I holler, "That's probably mine..."

and another fellow says, "well ain't that funny, I found a guitar too."

and I holler, "That one's probably mine as well..."

and on it goes, guitar after guitar - "Mine!"

I bet they would start to get suspicious...

I've been working hard on my list of fiddle tunes so I won't be such a burden at the next jam session I attend... it is starting to have some affect.

I think I am getting better...

:rose:  $

There's a fresh pot if you should want a cup...

Now, that is a nice looking guitar! A classical built guitar that uses steel strings. Interesting...

NO Fair... not giving the guitars back!

But then they may be busted up some, that wouldn't be any good either...

We shall believe that the storms will continue to un-molest us.

:D  $

Don't look at me, I'm a mere Googling tool.... I tried Flying Guitars, I only got this... http://www.bollen.us/guitar/S4w-GTSW-024 - Jimi Hendrix' Gibson Flying V.jpg

Then I tried Windswept Guitars, Guitars in the Sky, Guitars on the Wing and a few other improbable entries to come up with those few photos :D

:rose:

.

Aha, the venerable classic Gibson Flying V most notably played by an albino looking fellow - a blues player out of Texas (due to my CRS disease, his name escapes me at the moment). :D

I need to become better aquainted with the Google tool - it would never have occurred to me to use it in that manner.

A tip of the hat to your imagination, sweet thing!
