The 2022 Geek Pride Story Event: Official Support Page

Laurel found and approved the following stories for the event:

The Gate - Going Home - The misplaced human and his harem team up to keep a promise - Duleigh

Spark the Runner Ch. 05 - The Continuing Adventures of Spark, Tonya and Okami - eidetic

IT Slave - Geek does what it takes to get his dream job - eroticstoryspinner

If anybody else has a story that wasn't picked up, just drop a note replying here, and I'll contact Laurel and ask her to include them.

Also, my entry will be late - Laurel's going to add it when I have it finished. If anybody else has a story that wasn't finished, and you want to get it done, if you can package it up and finish it off this weekend, submit it by EOD Monday and and let me know, I'll ask to have included along with my late (sob) entry.

Thank you again Chloe!

It's the end of Day Three on my Loving Wives Geek story, and I've crawled up to 1.78 rating with 87 votes!:):)

Poking those trolls is so fulfilling! LOL

I just read your story and found it delightful. It's so disheartening when great writing gets bombarded with downvotes so that you might pass it by. I'm glad I read it, and thanks for sharing.

Rolling my eyes at an anonymous comment someone left a few minutes ago:

"Welp, gave up at the trans bullshit. Too bad, it looked like a good story."

I have one minor trans character in the story, who isn't even involved in any of the sex scenes, and just their *presence*, along with the main character making a point of treating them with respect by using correct pronouns is enough to freak this guy out. Wow, it's frankly amazing how skittish people are about this.

I saw those dorks, you really fired them up
Thanks for the comment on my story. My bad, not doing enough research or having someone else check the vacuum spec. I'm more of a computer and network geek, thus the very specific IP address which I assured the admins was a non-routed address.

That miiiiiight explain why my sword and sorcery tale got hammered like it did. Besides a bit of humiliation and a rather tumultuous MMF threesome, we do have a futa-demon/witch/leading lady threesome. One would think that a site filled with every kink imaginable would engender a tolerant readership. And it's not like were hiding anything - the tags are there for everyone to see them. The only thing we did not spill was the fact the male lead was gay, but without an explicit sex scene for him and the general tolerance of the SF/F crowd we thought we'd be good.

Screw assumptions...

Now you can see why I'd like to give authors the option to block anonymous comments

Same here on the computer geek part, I like to think I'm a recovering computer geek, IPv6 came in, I went out. It's just that when I saw the vacuum measured in positive PSI all I could think of was how I used to press my lips to my toddler children's belly and blow making a farting noise that was soon covered up with their laughter.

You CAN block anonymous comments. On your Lit "My Home" page got to Options, then pick the tab on the right "my options." You can toggle "accept anonymous feedback" to off.

Looks like mine has had a light dust. Lost a couple of votes, but the score increased.

Well, looks like that's it for this year. It was the most fun I had writing in a long, long time and I'll gladly work with Loqui again at the drop of a hat.

I wish there had been a bit more in terms of views, votes and comments. By the by, thanks for all the Geek Pride authors who left a note on our work.

See you this December or so. :)

This was only my second event, my first was On the Job. I discovered it late and jumped in with both feet getting 84,400 words in three stories in two months, and at least 83,000 of those words were used correctly! I've never written so much so fast and so well. I really loved it and I cannot wait until next year. My only suggestion is to make a hard cut-off a week before the "Go Live" date. I think we swamped Laurel with quite a few nick of time entries, I'm guilty of that.

My 1st ever "Geek Pride Story" is holding the "HOT" label with a 4.52 rating and 347 votes.

I'm quite proud of this TBH

You're doing great, I submitted three stories, they're all holding a hot label but I don't have that many votes for any one story. I did much better with my very first event, On the Job, Hot with 396 votes.

With 347 votes you should hold that hot label
