The 2024 Geek Pride Story Event: Official Support Page

I confess I am a bit astonished by the confusion, the whole point of the challenge is the day itself, when the whole lot get published. Built right into the concept and the rules of submission.
The confusion is because Laurel hasn't done it that way for years. Now suddenly she follows her own rules without warning. Instant confusion.

All my entries were posted on the same (actual Geek Pride) date, 25 May. A search of other entries (four pages worth) has only the smallest number of outliers - the rare last minute entry say - NOT published on the 25th. Unless I'm missing something, the challenge seems to be working as conceived.

Submitted. Be kind, Be kind, I'm just an old fool who remembers long nights with boardgames and roleplaying from many years ago (so many!).
I had never thought that "Dungeon" could mean so many different things.
And also "Mine" (even if Gimli says it in Moria). 🧙‍♀️🧝‍♀️🧌⛏️🗡️🗝️🔒

Short story submitted - Jack and Jill Went Up the Hill (using my beginning from the challenge thread).

Twitchers are geeky birdwatchers. It's only 3000 words so will likely score terribly... and I put it in Loving Wives...

No idea if I'll manage to get my other story done by the 25th.

Story submitted. I could fiddle with it more, but it's not going to make it better.
Going into Science fiction and fantasy.
Thanks to other members on this site for editing and advice help. I have found the community here very helpful to contributors.

Submitted! It's a piece I worked up for an SF shared universe, which I think can stand on its own. Terraformers, religion, politics, exploration, handjobs... this story's got it all. It'll be called "Written on the Skin."

"Zeus and Amphitryon," a Loving Wives story of a rich bastard cuckolding a classical studies professor and how the latter deals with it through the power of mythology, is in the queue.

Surely it should be New with a date of the 25th, once accepted?

Mine's still pending, but I may get my other geekier story done...

Yes, mine are listed as new but still under the Pending tab with dates of 05/25

🎺🎺🎺Hear ye, hear ye, yelled the herald. I just submitted a story with a Chessboard as wide as a valley between two hills🏔️🏰🏔️, with a Humpty Dumpty, a Unicorn🦄, a Queen👸, Two Queens, two Anglo-Saxons Messengers with Attitude🐚🦪, and a geeky girl over 20yo (but a virgin👩‍🦰) who is followed like a Shadow by her geeky boyfriend (over 20yo, a virgin👨, and temporarily with his penis locked in a chastity cage🔒🗝️).
132,500 words. I hope I don't come across as too boring. 🌬️💨🫧
🙏Be kind to criticism, Carroll was a genius🦤, I am just an idiot📚.

A sincere apology to soflabbwlvr. In an earlier thread I incorrectly credited another author as the organiser of the 'First annual Crime and Punishment story event'. It has been corrected. Apologises again.

On a lighter note: I submitted my story last night and it got the big tick this morning for the 25th. If I were to write about the submission last night, it'd go something like: 'He wore a self-congratulatory arrogant smirk as he pushed the publish button.'

The smirk was because I didn't think I'd get to finish proofing before the 21st at best or 23rd-ish (possibly later) so 20th (WestPacTime) is crash hot for me.

EUUURK! WRONG! First sentence in the 'thanks to...' intro - glaring mistake. Back to drafts. And I hadn't listed the story as having italics.

It's always the little things, is it not. Good story writing to you all.

First time I've participated in one of these, but the story I had been working on seemed to fit the bill, so we'll see what happens. :)
I did my first Literotica Contest/Challenge in February (The Valentine's Day one) and it was a lot of fun. I'm sure you will find it quite enjoyable!! And I think you will find a lot of the people here are very helpful. At any rate, welcome to your first Literotica Contest/Challenge!!!!

Okay... I finally got mine done and it's submitted. It takes place in an alternate Freya-verse where Katie (Katherine in this universe) is the girl who walks into Alex's life instead of "Story Freya." Hopefully, I've approached the idea of a "geek" in a unique way. Although my writing style is fairly simple, I try to have interesting stories to tell. But we'll see what the Literotica readers have to say about this one. 🤞🏻

And at over 11K words, it's my longest single story, yet!!
