The Allison Mack/Nxivm Sex Slavery Cult

The first few times the burn was too superficial. His partner loved the final result. She told her friends. Several others asked to be branded.

You have a friend who enjoys having her skin melted by hot iron - who told her friends, several of whom also felt this was a wonderful idea.

Do any of you ever stop to wonder just how incredibly unbelievable your made up crap actually is?

Not that this has anything to do with this topic, but...

Why is it so difficult to believe that people who are interested in same things would also be friends? Gamers tend to have gamer friends, horse people tend to be friends with other horse people. Body mod people tend to be friends with other body mod people...

So why wouldn't BDSM people be friends with other BDSM people? BDSM clubs, munches and such are an existing thing. People get to know each other and become friends.

I've been to maybe a dozen bdsm clubs. I have bdsm friends.

Do you want to take a guess at, respectively, how many bdsm people I know or have met - and how many of them have brands?

I'm guessing you don't know anybody who's been branded.

I know two people who have been branded and they also know each other. So to me the scenario Ginlover posted doesn't sound completely alien.

But, but she knows BDSM people so she certainly knows everything, right?

The BDSM continuum is very wide and I do know someone who has been branded. Even though this is outside of my personal comfort level and something I would not consent to, wouldn’t consider it outside of possible fantasy, that does not mean that there are not people who love the idea. People do all sorts of body modifications for all sorts of reasons. Ginlover’s post does not sound unreasonable/impossible to me, either.

Call it branding and it sounds more nefarious than it is. Call it scarification and it’s a rite of passage. In this case, it’s the lack of consent that is the actual issue. Plenty of people enjoy this form of body modification and BDSM isn’t anywhere in the mix.

hopefully i'm guessing correctly but i think what made that thing mentioned in the first posts in this thread punishable (the thing that landed in court) was the coercion and therefore the difficulty with identifying consent and not the branding per se? just a wild guess

Yes, it was absolutely the coercion and lack of consent.

There are now a lot of documentaries on NXIVM, and while I’m sure they are all told with a POV, the bones of this case are consistent and disturbing.

Ooh I didn’t mean to cause controversy. I agree the case being discussed in no way represent consensual kink. My comment on branding is that it can be part of consensual kink. My description is of how it can be a consensual activity and I know the person who did the branding really well, his job is to work with and shape hot metal as he is a blacksmith by trade. It might not be a regularly practiced kink but it occurs and with full consent.

It's always a certain sign of a moderator well worth the title and responsibility when they pick sides, and deride posters. Good job.

I know statistics. They're not usually off by much. And I know the internet, and it is choked to the brim with fakes and liars.

So I only believe what seems believable. I basically doubt very much that anyone in this thread knows anyone who has agreed to be branded.

And yes, by my own logic you are more than welcome to doubt me.

I personally don't see any difference between this and people who turn themselves into pin cushions with pounds of metal inserts or dangly bits or those who have bicycle wheels hung in their earlobes or those who turn themselves into billboards via billions of needle insertions of ink or any other form of what many of us consider self-abuse. If a person consciously and willingly agrees to have red hot metal seer their skin in a way that isn't even widely acceptable for livestock in many places, I guess that's up to them.

On a BDSM discussion board you are kink shaming. SSC, RACK or PRICK are the cornerstone of BDSM. Communication, safety and trust are the pillars, after that there is no limit. However anyone wants to express their kink or enjoy their kink is fine as long as everyone involved consents. Kink shaming is low. I’ll shame any abuse but if something is consensual kink — even if it’s not my thing — I won’t kink shame and I am really glad the moderator agrees kink shaming is just wrong.

Or have I missed the list you’ve created saying what is and isn’t acceptable? Has your list been signed up to by people world wide? Are you known across the kink community for being an authority on what is and isn’t kink? Or has a kink you find a bit past your own limits been discussed and you are going to shout about it not being true and kink shame anyone who might disagree with you?

I have nothing to prove as I’m pretty happy in my knowledge and continued learning in this community but do not ever kink shame me or anyone I know personally as trust me you are the one that looks like a narrow minded bigoted fool.

As a moderator on this site, I have zero obligation or expectation to remain neutral on the site. I edit and move posts that are in violation of the Lit TOS and I help people when I’m able to to accommodate their requests.

You don’t have many posts in this forum, but those you do have demonstrate that you have limited experience but consider yourself an expert and a voice of reason. You routinely kink shame while highlighting how little you know. Your voice is and should be disregarded by many. You are welcome to doubt me, dislike me, call me out - I give zero fucks about your uninformed opinion.

AAAHHHHHHHH hahahahahahahahahahahaaah-hahah ... OMFG, that is hilarious. I actually have your panties in a bunch, don't I? God please stop, that is the most fun I ever had on an internet forum.

Thank you, honestly and from the bottom of my heart. You sir, are a true and rare gem of the internet.

"Nobody likes pop-tarts. They are disgusting."
"Uhm, I like pop tarts."
"You are a fake and a liar!"

Having a serious conversation with such a person just gives him/her too much credit in my opinion.

(Reuters) - "Smallville" actress Allison Mack is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to blackmailing two women as part of NXIVM, a New York-based cult whose leader was convicted of sex trafficking and sentenced to 120 years in prison.

This was so sad. Allison Mack was a staple of my childhood TV, I grew up watching Smallville.

Had the hugest crush on her too because her character AND her real-life persona that she displayed on her website, writings, etc, showed what seemed to be a really sweet, nice, person.

I always used to think that Kristin Kreuk had "super hot" vibes but Allison Mack had "wife and mother of my children" type beauty. Was disappointing to see her not only fall for this cult but go on to propagate harm to other people.

Abusers are only sorry when they get caught. And they are only sorry for the judge. They regret nothing, in many cases, other than someone ruined their party.
This whole "I was brainwashed" thing is ridiculous. She had plenty of time to wake up. And not BRAND a woman's body.

Reminds me of One Taste..

NXIVM Co-Founder Sentenced to 3 1/2 Years in Sex Slaves Case

A former nurse who co-founded and once ran the cult-like NXIVM group has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison.

One Taste was an Orgasmic Meditation (club, cult) the founder Nicole Daedone had similar accusations against her. One Taste might have been more of a pyramid scheme than cult.
