Over View:

If you love anime's that make you think, then pick up Ergo Proxy right now and just skip this review. Simply put, Ergo Proxy straps you into a mind blend of logical thinking and makes you think "Is there more to this world than what there appears to be?" Ergo Proxy starts off with the introduction to one of two main characters "Re-I." (aka Real, Rei, Re-l. They never explain what her actual correct name is). Re-I is from a city called "Romdo"- a futuristic dome city that was built to protect the remaining citizen's from an ecological disaster that happened years ago. (Think: You know how everyone's worried about Global warming and the Ozone? Well think that this has already happened to the earth, and this is where the anime starts off.) In this "new" world, Humans and Androids known as AutoReivs co-exist, living in harmony, that is until a Android virus known as "the Cogito Virus" outbreaks, leading to a string of murders around Romdo.

While this is happening, the government of Romdo is conducting secret experiments on a mysterious humanoid lifeform called "Proxy", which is believed to hold the key to the survival of mankind. ( Think of a Proxy as a God). This is where Re-I enters along with her AutoReiv sidekick, Iggy. The two are assigned to investigate the murders in Romdo, and find the leading cause of the Cogito Virus. While doing so. Re-I is searched out by a Proxy, which does not satisfies her curiosity at all. In fact, it intensifies it! As Re-I learns more about the virus and Proxy's, she soon discovers an immigrant from outside of Romdo by the name of Vincent. They two eventually start a journey that will change their lives forever.

The downside:
It really makes you think! Honestly, I loved it, but it's not for those who are looking for classic anime. I am struggling to find a downside to this anime. There are parts where is drags a little, but otherwise, I did enjoy it. One of my favorites!

I have heard anhiem mentioned in several animation productions and if G-force is one of them- Then: I'm interested! I'm a little confused. Are you talking about "G-Force: Guardians of Space?" from the 80's?

BTW, I'm looking at the first disc of Hellsing: Ultimate, which Netflix delivered today. I've not yet seen it - only the original series. I mention it because well, it's clear that you're a fan.

To be honest, I liked the Original Hellsing better. HU is missing the kick-ass soundtrack! But it is beautiful. You will be dissapointed and delighted. It's a 50-50 love-hate relationship.

It is worthwhile to watch. Just stating my own personal opinion on the anime. Still haven't picked it up. I should, considering I own the original, and it wouldn't be exactly complete without the Ultimate Series. I want the bust of Anderson that is included in volume 3- the 2 disc special edition.
