Greetings all! Florida was Fantastic... and what a treat.... Tom had gotten a bike in January and he basically handed me the keys when i got there! SCORE! Drove Red's 'Stang one beautiful day as well.....

Ocean... seafood... enough alcohol to float my teeth and most of the rest of me.... great company... a little skiing in gator-fested waters... all and all.... a delightful trip!

So how has everyone been? I've missed ya!!!!
I'm glad someone had a great a vacation. That sounds like a blast. One of my riding buddies was FL the same time you were and his stories sound very similiar to yours. His big story was hitting 130 on a V-Rod he rented while he was there. And lots of booze and stories he won't go into detail about because he can't remember them. :D
I'm glad you made it back safe and had a blast on vacation.

If you're gonna do that, make it Memorial Day weekend, and you and Spaz can roll down to DC and we can all go Ride in Rolling Thunder together.

*chuckle* Well, i can't say i hit 130 on Tom's Intruder...hell...i'd have to put on a helmet for that! *eg* I did have fun before the others even rolled out of bed though...i can sleep when i die.... i just don't like wasting daylight on vacation... now if i have to go to work, i can push the envelope, but otherwise..... let's Rock!

Lots of alcohol flow for me too, but i didn't try to keep up... my friends are all in better drinking shape than i am. I'm a cheap date! hehe I didn't mind the babysitting mode... like to see everyone safe anyway and there were a couple times that i had to sneak keys away... and they thanked me in the morning... all is kewl and still in one piece.

I need to get my ass down there again real soon... i had forgotten how fun it is there... well, not really... i just know that i'd never get anything done if i lived down there... too much fun stuff!

So what's new with you Joe? Weekend plans?

How are you Annie? Sound like fun in the sunshine state :nana: MY kind of fun :catroar: I haven't hit 130 yet either..atleast on the new bike.... it's the main reason I stopped riding years ago...I rode too fast all the time

I'm fabulous.... really! My brain is back in positive overdrive and i love life again. The trip to Florida just reinforced (STRONGLY) how it is not healthy to work 6 days a week for 2 1/2 years with no breaks. I mean... three day weekends here and there, but a real break... approaching a week off with nothing pressing to do truly revives one soul. Getting on the putt for 3 hours at a stretch can help to ease the stress, but even that love cannot fully remove the stress....I need to remember to pamper myself more often! ;)

I used to ride too damn fast too.... now i tend to the other side of the coin with just one good eye and starbursts happening with my vision.... the older i get the more i realize i don't have to have the speed... the breeze teasing my hair is enough... and the sights and smells and the companionship... even when riding solo... there are Very few bikers that don't return a nod or a wrist flick... and it just makes me feel connected to people with the same love of the road on two wheels... or even three.

Damn! Some the the new style trikes are just flipping amazing! Have you seen them... they seem to be cropping up all over the place.... especially with my generation! *eg*

I love getting out for a ride.. as a matter of fact .. .I just got back from a delayed lunch ride.. 1 hour to no where and back. Great to feel breeze. Lots of waves and nods today :D ... As much as I like riding with friends.. it's the ride that excites me.. I went to the DR today for a checkup.. I rode, of course.. when they took my BP it was up...I knew why and had to explain.. it was 'cause I was riding. I get like a kid. and now my new pipes are in so... after my 1000 mile check up next week, they go on :nana: Glad you enjoyed it Annie.. :rose:

Thank you Cooper, it started as a lousy day, but turned into a great day. And tomorrow is even better. I get to ride my bike for about 4 hours and spend the rest of the day on the Cheseapeake Bay fishing, all on company time. How sweet is that. :D :D

Hope you had a great day as well. I might be on later, but I think I'm going to be a little busy since I won't be home until around 10pm tomorrow. ;)

Sounds like you had a great time. I've been known to steal a few keys as well. I know better, even when I'm drunk. I got a DWI about 10 years ago and I'll never go through that again. Lesson learned.

Your right, living in FL would be hard, to many distractions, especially all the tanned eye candy.

I just found out today that one of our major suppliers is taking all the field guys out on a fishing trip on the Cheseapeake Bay all day. I'm meeting everyone on the job and we take off from there. Of course I'm taking the bike, I can't turn down a chance to ride and get paid for it. :D
No real big plans, just a little riding, and maybe a shoot with MrsJ. I found an old abandoned barn in a park that is totally hidden away, so I thought it might be a fun place to try a shoot. Depends on the temp. though. MrsJ is alot more cold blooded than I am.

Thanks, temps in the 70's, lots of riding and getting out on the water. And getting paid to do it. Priceless.
Enjoy your day and stay safe.

I know that feeling, my heart always skips a beat or two everytime I'm getting ready to fire the bike up. I guess when it stops doing that, it'll be time to get that roadster and give up riding.

One of our suppliers' is sponsering a fishing trip and we get to go. All on company time. I might be turning green tomorrow as well, but not for the same reasons. It's been 10 years since I have been out in a boat. We will see.
