I hear you. I was usiing some sign language myself the other day on the interstate. It's amazing how close you can get you hand to a car window when you want to.

Several weeks ago I was riding and exploring alot of back roads. I found a road that deadended into some MD Forestry land. While looking for a good tree for a mother nature call, I saw a collapsed barn, but since I was trying to outrun the incoming rain, I didn't stay to explore. Last weekend, MrsJ and I took a ride out there to check it out. We found a lot more than an old collapsed barn.
We found an old house that the Forestry Service had bought out as part of the watershed act. It was an old farmhouse that someone had started to renovate, but they sold out for whatever reason. It had not been empty very long, there was very little dust and cobwebs, and no animal infestation, but still a great find. We did find some old porch stair that had been replaced with concrete that had 1995 scratched into them. Here are a few pics.

Oh yeah, the views inspired some other reactions, but no pics of those, my hands were too busy to pick up the camera. Maybe on another trip.

The timing for the blossoms was just right. We turned the corner and saw the view shown in the first pic and stopped in our tracks. Here is the view from the rear of the house.
I know I would not have any tan lines anywhere on my body if I lived there and had that view.

Trust me, it would cost a small fortune hear as well. We say a small little house on the same road, on 1.5 acres and the cost was over 450,000. And the house was falling apart. It would have needed new appliaces, a roof, etc..

Well the houses out here are just as bad. It would cost about $500,000 for a entry level type of house...and that would need alot of repairs aswell.

Combine that with the fact that the news said CA now has the highest gas prices in the country and there isn't much left.

I hear ya. Its over $3 a gallon here.......and that is sure to go up still.

I see alot more bikes on the road. They are finally getting the message in that they are more fuel efficient. Funny thing was my Mom actually sounded like she was considering it the other day.....ofcourse she still was really puzzled when I said I wanted to build one one day.

Just to let you know my family is kinda infamous for having the collective balance of a one-legged horse.

That still sounds like such fun...but that quick trip to Chicago has somewhat depleted my cash stash.... *sigh* I love traveling and meeting new peeps!

I had a couple interactive contacts with drivers on the interstate this weekend... the hello with common courtesy... there isn't any common sense out there either.

It's good to be home... and now it's bath time.... ooooooo the bubbles!

I just found from my mom this weekend he moved to NM about 6 weeks ago. I think you would have liked him. Hell, I hated going out drinking with him cause he got all the play, and still does.

I found out I need to start walking and getting a little more excersice. I'm a little sore from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge walk we did yesterday. And all we did was walk. And I'm sore in strange areas, like my back and lats.

it's an eye opener to learn what muscle groups you truly use for all the activity in our lives, eh?! I need some more activity too... Started lifting again and that feels Fantastic... i think i can get that addiction back with little effort.
