The Biker Chicks of Lit

Great pics Joe

Well as you may have guessed I'm back from my ride. Ofcourse I don't have a bike so I can only go for as long as my arms will hold out.

I couldn't rev my engine so I banged on my spokes instead lol.

I made asmuch of a go at it as I could and I think I went about three miles or so.....I hope it was enough to fully pay tribute.

It was funny, I heard a motorcycle rev when I was out and it really made me smile just to hear that sound at that time.
Nice. I can't speak for Mojo's family, but it means alot more coming from you, considering the energy you had to put out. We just rode around, you really had to make a real effort.
I was riding around Gettysburg, Pa, and was actually at Battlefield Harley and got a few other's to fire up thier bikes as well, we had a 12 muffler salute.

One of the best War parks in the US. Spent many a summer day walking the fields wondering what was wrong with Robert and why he wouldn't listen to James on that faitful day. Even made the 100 yr ceremony; maybe I'll still be around to see the 150 yr ceremony.

Hi JJ, hoping you are enjoying your summer travels; enjoying your pictures of same.

Did you get a chance to visit Eisenhower's farm?
Gettysburg had scheduled a major reinactment last weekend, but due to the torrential rains we had, they have rescheduled it for next weekend. The same weekend as Bike week. I feel sorry for the residents of Gettysburg next weekend. They are expecting over 300,000 and over 10,000 bikes.

Amen, Joe and thank you DJ...I think Brad knew we were riding with him.... :rose:

Well Joe and Copper I know he was with us all on our rides. :cathappy:

Joe: Its great that you got others to join in. Spread the memory.

It really was good to get out like that....and my effort wasn't that much more than any of you guys. To ride and remember was the goal so we all did our part....I actually feel like I should have done more......and I probably always will.

I passed this one place on my ride and they had this old style indian parked in the parking lot. It makes me wish I had a digicam with me to show it.

Soul Ride

The Soul Ride was awesome! we had more than 500 riders and another 300 hotrodder's! I'm sure we shook the heaven's and got Brad's attention. Brandon and I thank all of you for your support over this very trying time. God has a new chopper builder now. Brad will be on every ride we take from now on. God Bless Him!!!
Everytime I look up I see him "Swinging the World around jumping from Cloud to Cloud killing the Blues"
Mojo's Bro's & Family  :)

I am glad to hear that you had a great turnout for the Soul Ride I just wish MrsJ and I could have been there as well, but we just couldn't work it out logistically. It's good to know that this little thread I created provided some joy for Brad, and has been a source of comfort and support for his friends and family.

DiJit, you did what you could, just like the rest of us. I wish we could have been there as well, but we couldn't work it out. But we did what we could.

Hey everyone!

Well Steve and I did it...we rented a bike for a day and had a great time...Brad was definitely in my thoughts.

I did a very short video while we were riding...You can hear the wind and the radio...Not sure how the voices will come out though. I turned the video cam on just as we hit a rock or a stick or something...Scared the heck out of us...On second riding smooth and the next moment the back tire slde to the side. We didn't dump or anything, but really gave our hearts a skip.

Here is the link to the vid of our ride...I have pics I will be posting later. :)

That was funny. I can't believe you went two up so soon. My other concern was the bare shoulders I saw.
Get a summer mesh jacket like MrsJ or Copper's!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just adding my 2 cents worth on my view of safety and gear. Neither one of us gets on the bike(with a few exceptions at rallies when I relax the rules of riding, and I ride really conservative) without jackets, gloves, etc.

We didn't go far Joe...The vid was shot near Steve's home...That is why the dress was so casual.

We are taking the weekend run in 2 weeks. We will be married next Friday but are waiting a week before heading off to the mnts...We are thinking of heading to the New River Gorge for some white water rafting, then heading up from there....We hope to hook up with ya'll before we head home. I will let you kno9w more once we finalize everything.

Thanks Copper! I wasn't sure it would come out at all...LOL...it was the first time for me using that feature on my digi cam. I guess I will have to shoot more vids now...LOL :D

Steve was very comfy...He was a lil nervous at first. We rented a Ultra Glide...more like a convertable than a bike...lol

We plan on renting a soft tail for our weekend getaway. :cathappy:

Nope

Well I may be wrong and it wasn't an Indian at all lol. It had a very unique shape to the tank. It was like a rectangle with a slope facing the rider. It was a very light framed bike aswell.

(OK Google didn't give me anything that looked like it so all I have is what I remember  )

Perhaps it was a custom bike?

I've seen that style of tank before. I think it is a really old style. From the amount of dirt and rust on it I think it has been around awhile. If I see it again I'll try and get a pic.

4th went alright here Joe. Just spent the night trying to pry the cat off the ceiling once the fireworks started. Our neighbors seem to insist on buying the BIG fireworks, so all night it sounds like they just blew up their garage. :D

Hope everyone had a good time.

We had a quite 4th, I was on storm call, so when we got the afternoon storms, I ran around to all of our jobs making sure none of them were leaking/flooding. Made it home in time to grlll a couple of burgers and walk up the street to see the local fireworks.
