The Biker Chicks of Lit

Soooo.....great news. Bike is back. Wooo hooo. Ya know to be such a big place Patriot HD has really ticked me off. I did get the Bike back but not after they screwed up soooooo many times. How do your order a fender and no nameplate to go on it? Come on. Then the bike is all yucky and they did not put the siren on the damn security system I had installed. What good is an alarm with no siren. Duh. Unless I have to go there in a pinch or emergency I am going to Mannasas (Whitt's) H.D. Sorry had to rant.

So EB you had a good time, eh? ;) Kewl. I enjoyed the trip up until I hit the PA line and it got all cloudy and stuff and turned chilly. Then while in the factory it started raining on and off. Was kinda glad I was rolling in the cage. Did you get one of the shirts? The pic on the back had my bike on it. Did not realize until I got it home.........

Anyone headed to Rumble Through The Tunnels 10/14? Weather and budget permitting I am seriously thinking on it. Really depends on how much I spend at the DC Littogether. Anyone headed there?

Awwww I am glad you finally got your bike back. As for security systems, there was one on our bike when we bought it, however, it is a silent one. All it does is flash lights if the bike gets touched  To be honest, we have not been all that concerned with it though. We lock the bike up and also have a cable...if someone really wants the bike, they would have to lift it off the ground to take it. If we had a sound type alarm on it, it would not matter to the pros. If they want the bike, they are going to take it regardless. Anyway, that is how we see it. *shrugs*

As for HD service departments at dealerships, they are all pretty standard. That is one thing HD really needs to change. They have pretty bad reps from coast to coast (from everyone we have spoken with). :( I have to say though, Colonial is not as bad as the Richmond locations and the one in Orange (Waugh) is supposed to be ok as well.

As for the good time...OH YEAH! It got cold but we were prepared for it. We missed all the heavy rain...Just had to deal with the wet roads and such. That storm was moving at 50 mph so we lucked out. It passed by just before we got to it. It hit the hotel as we were checking in, so we lucked out there too. But that was all Thursday evening. We got no rain up in York or on the way back to Annapolis. Friday was great weather. Just a few lil sprinkles while we were at the renaissance festival on Sat., but none while driving.

As for the Rumble throught he tunnels, I have been checking that one out as well as the following:

10/15/06: Annual "Swamp Roar" Motorcycle Rally SWAMP ROAR REGISTRATION
Location: Great Dismal Swamp / Departs from the Suffolk Executive Airport
Ride the scenic 70-mile perimeter of the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy a VIP reception and a complimentary parking pass to Peanut Fest. Registration fee required. Proceeds benefit Great Dismal Swamp educational programs.
For more information about this event, contact: (757) 923-3880 or 866-SEE-SUFK (toll free)
Suffolk Tourism

However, there isn't much in the way of fees posted. Guess I need to call them to get all the details of both events. We may participate in one of them, but we shall see.

As for t-shirts, yes I have one from the factory, one from bike night and some from the different dealerships who were there.

Here is one of the many pics taken at the factory (um....yep...that is NOT a HD bike...lol):

Thanks Bro. Didn't know there were so many Renfaire people around. I've been going every year since I was 12. (This will be year 13 for those who can't count LOL)

umm.....Shall I assume you meant to say Renfaire DUDE? ;)

I've actually seen quite a few people who look like you. I think your look would fit in almost anywhere.
Well keeping in the Renfaire theme, EB claims to be the queen of typos, so I guess that makes me the king.

It's fall in Colorado!!!!! Perfect weekend to see the colors...perfect weather...too much traffic...but I guess everybody wanted to see as well!!!! I took many, many pics....and most of them ended up out of focus!! I'm heartbroke! But what I have I'll share! :nana:
That's nice seeing some yellow, all we get here here is red and brown, with a few isolated yellows thrown in.

And don't be so hard on yourself. I saw the edit comment. ;)

Great pics Joe!

Was way too cold for us to hit the shoreline over the weekend (gotta love the chaps and rain gear! )

It was great catching up with ya'll on Saturday!

We love you guys! :cathappy:

Here is a short vid of the bike night in York, Pa (Friday evening)

This is just after the bikes started to leave the staging are. The first bikes to leave were those who worked at the factory. We were lined up in the 3rd or 4th row after them.

***edited to change location of bike night  It was in York, Pa. not Annapolis, Md.
Did you get the ride in over the bay bridge. I know I forgot to tell you about the toll.

We had a great time with you and Steve. We both hope you had as much fun as we did. I knew that Steve and MrsJ's birthdays where the same, but I didn't realize yours was the 24th and mine was the 25th of the same month.Hmgh!!!!!!!!!!
You're right, those tornado pics a lot better on the screen.

At Laconia there is a bridge over the bay that you have to go over to get 'downtown' Lots of times I just sit on the bridge and watch :) You are racking them up, good for you. I love your vids :)

I am well, heading out to Vegas tomorrow on business, how are you?
Have a safe trip

Yeah had my close call a while back but in an SUV. It was sucking big stuff out if the vehicle. Not just papers but a LOT heavier. Cannot imagine it on a bike. Got my first front page credits for my shots I took while driving. Should have stopped and got some really good shots but noooooooo I was hauling ass outa there. Was actually three tornadoes traveling in a pack. A Big Daddy, A Smaller Momma, and A Baby. LOL.

Yeah I want the siren so if it gets hit again they cannot say "I thought I rubbed the curb." LOL

You know one of the things that irritates me is their lack of care. Lots of my shiny new screws are tarnished on the bike. Two years ago my ex mother in law gave me this nice H.D. keychain. Inside thing but she was always giving me Harley stuff including models and saying see you got a Harley. Well the keychain was even in a nice jewel box so I know it was not cheap. So get my new Harley and of course the key goes on it and when I dropped it off a month ago I had to drop the key. Well instead of just keeping it with the paperwork they threw it in the saddlbag where of course it got moist and got yucky. Now I have been polishing on this for an hour. Keyring is silly, I know but when I drop of my 22000 peice of machine and shiny key ring and I expect them to be taken care of, ya know.

Don't think it is Harley but is the dealerships and Harley just does not check up on them enough or do anything about it. I just did the survey sent out about my purchase and I let the sales and service people have it. The local guys did not do half of what was on the list that they SHOULD HAVE done. Some of the stuff like "Introduce The Parts Manager" and "Introduce The Service Team" would have been really neat and unique but was it done. NOOOOOOOO And as far as service I had to ask about the break in stuff.

I learned when I was an insurance adjuster, little stuff like that happens. I took my car into a really good friends shop, and they forgot to redo the pinstripes. Seems to be an industry wide issue, both auto and bike, until you get into the really high end custum shops where people actually pay attention to what is going on.

LOL I'm sure I'd qualify for atleast Duke of typos then:D

Well I had a great time on Sunday. I got to see alot of people I hadn't seen in awhile and I got to show my bronze piece to the Queen and court. They said it was just beautiful.

They have a duo of jugglers there called Moonie and Broon. They do a comedy routine, juggle, eat fire, and annoy the sign language girl.

They do their shows seperately throughout the day, but do the last show of the day together.

I was talking to one of them after one of their earliers shows and he said I should get up on stage with them and they could juggle clubs around me or something. I guess the cold froze my brain because I just said "ok" and so hey got me up there and then said "Well clubs seem boring and we want to do something more fun since you're up here" SOOOO They broke out the FLAMING TORCHES!!!

My cousin took a picture of them doing that. If I can figure out how to get it off my e-mail then I'll post it once she sends it to me.

LOL If I can get them to Lit then they will be the first pics I have of me on here.

Another thing that happened to me was....

I was talking to a musician I know(I'm a HUGE fan of his) and just rolled my chair back a bit. I apparantly rolled over the bottom of a woman's dress. Well the dress pulled down and the hem touched her backside and she thought I had goosed her. She let out this HUGE shreik and spun around. Well she was fine once she saw it was an accident and then asked if I would take a picture with her. I agreed and she then told the man with her to take the picture, grabbed my head and pushed it into her chest.(and believe me she had ALOT of chest to put my head to)

Well there went my sweet and innocent image of you.

Nope I couldn't get in a quick lick. I was too busy being smothered.

Well I have to get my cousin to send it to me first. It was taken with her camera and she is working two jobs right now so it might take a bit, but when I get it I'll do what I can.
