Hey at least you guys get snow. We're at 59 north and still don't get snow *grrr*

The day is one of a raw chill, rain and drizzle, and one tosnuggle up to the hearth with a good whiskey

S F it seems like we are on the opposite side of the clock. It good to see that Uggg kept you company last night. The big news here is the snow is melting, no skiing today.

Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day.

Quite a bit being relative since we don't get anywhere near as much snow as the White Mountains. I tend to live in the PM hours and early AM hours. I am not seen much in the daylight hours before noon my time. You are usually on the slopes about the time I go to sleep.

Uggg is working on a gin bottle film projector, CG. He is trying to create a set up for watching movies on those days when people are stuck at the Inn with nothing to do. He has an elaborate plan, so apparently, LOTS of bottles are required. At least that is what he told me.

Well 100% of Denmark is either a Peninsula or an Island... so yes, you could say we're fairly close to the water- *winks* We get snow so rarely here it's crazy. But it's still so cold, it might as well snow. The freezing rain is far more annoying than any snow could ever be, and far less pretty.

Well 100% of Denmark is either a Peninsula or an Island... so yes, you could say we're fairly close to the water- *winks* We get snow so rarely here it's crazy. But it's still so cold, it might as well snow. The freezing rain is far more annoying than any snow could ever be, and far less pretty.

I know about freezing rain. It actually felt colder when I lived in southern California. Even though it only snowed twice in the fifty some years I lived there, that cold rain eats through to the bones. California gets snow in the mountains but, because of the ocean coast, snow seldom falls along the coast even in the north. That salt water is miserable on car paint, but it does keep the snow levels down.

Chores done, a mug of coffee in hand I head for my old leather chair by the hearth.

There are only tiny patches of snow left here. With no more expected in the next ten days. This has been an extremely dry winter. I hope February brings us some rain at least.

And with all this talk about freezing rain, would you know it? Today was well over freezing for the first time in ages. It was 10C today -about 50F. But the rain was still cold and miserable.

I've never actually been to California, but I dream of it one day. Hopefully I'll get a chance to soak up some of that sea salt air for myself. The closest I've ever been was Seattle and that was quite an adventure itself!
