The China Pearl Inn part 7

Why'd you hand him the bucket of water RT? looks like hes had his limit?

Uggg:rose:

I need no limit. I can give up any time. :twitch: Holds onto the bucket tightly. I'll swap it for a single malt though.

Ohh...Seasoning! Yes! thanks Chriss i almost forgot!

a litle pepper and tabasco with that please WareRaven;)

Uggg:rose:

We do not season the WareRaven, Uggg . Even my wife does not bite the Raven, with or without seasonings.

Got back from exercise at 2200 hours, spent 2 hours trying to load avatar. Gave up! Going out to see the moon then bed.

Been guzzling water here today. Not sure why. Guess it is all the talk about pails of water. I don't like flavoring in my water. I sure don't want pepper and tabasco in it!

Hey SF, do you think ravens taste like chickens? No reason... just something I've been thinking about.

Looks like you succeeded Sal. Have a great night and may all your dreams be naughty ones ;)

I don't know. People eat ducks, chickens, turkeys, pheasants, even pigeons, so I suppose one could eat a raven.

Personally, I prefer bacon. ;)

Okay coolio... so, lets say you were going to... hypothetically... bite a...

No. No lets start this again. Hypothetically if you were going to prepear a raven for biting... umm... no.

Okay... do you know any good raven recipes?

Uggg

Good question. So I did some googling. Apparently you can eat Raven or Crows. However, I am not sure if one would want to do so. They are associated with bad omens especially being the souls of bad people. I don't know if that would be good for your body. They are also known for being intelligent like chimps and dolphins, although I wouldn't be able to prove it by the ones that live around here. They are playful and like to make slides out of snow on roofs, again, I have never seen that.

Wereravens are known as bastions of good in an evil land. So probably we want to keep them around.

But I have a friend who says everything tastes good with Tabasco sauce, so I guess that would apply to birds of all types.

These are raven recipes, but I find them confusing as they don't mention raven as an ingredient.

I started cooking Italian style cuisine when I was 6 years old. I didn't learn a good way to eat crow. But if I had to prepare raven I would we bone it then beat the breast and let meat with a tenderiser. Followed by a McCormick's marinade or for homemade marinade Worcestershire, a shot of JD honey, garlic, a little season all and maybe some teriyaki. Let chill for two days. The Worcester, JD, garlic combo will actually chemically cook to meat most of the way without any harm to humans.

There are a lot of late history mythos about us every since some Edgar guy wrote lies about us.
In Celtic with we were messengers for and advisors to Odan who called us his mind and thoughts. Native Americans thought we were wise old spirits sent to teach and test them.
We have been called tricksters and problem solvers.
That ill omen thing is probably all about people not listening to us and then blaming us for their folly.

Those Indians are pretty darn smart. Much smarter than Europeans. If the Asians hadn't invented gun powder, those Europeans would not have won so many wars.

From what i have read, most of European problems with losing were based on pride and not learning from their own history.

That and an overdose of greed.

There are few if any cultures that have not had their fare share of greed. The Native Americans did . But they mainly kept it out side their own tribe. The Asian cultures did but they took it to an art form. The South Americans killed their own children for power. The Africans sold other tribes into slavery for gold (that started about the time Rome came into power and lasted till well after America abolished slavery in our country) the Europeans were just outright brutal about it more so than the rest.

Human need to own what others have, just to have it has always confused me. I understand those groups that went for food or needed women to increase their numbers, but those that take when they already had more than enough to survive I don't understand. I never needed to have the bigger tv or the larger car or the greener grass.
