Human need to own what others have, just to have it has always confused me. I understand those groups that went for food or needed women to increase their numbers, but those that take when they already had more than enough to survive I don't understand. I never needed to have the bigger tv or the larger car or the greener grass.
It is a hard concept for a few good people. I wanted more than I needed and I still do. But not to the point that I would take it by force from someone who has earned it.
If you are treated like you can do no wrong then you think that nothing you do is your fault. And if you have had the trauma of doing with far less than you need to for long enough then when you get more than you need you may still think that you have yo have more in case the wheel ever turns again. Those are the two most common reasons for greed that I have found. But they are not good reasons.
