Human need to own what others have, just to have it has always confused me. I understand those groups that went for food or needed women to increase their numbers, but those that take when they already had more than enough to survive I don't understand. I never needed to have the bigger tv or the larger car or the greener grass.

It is a hard concept for a few good people. I wanted more than I needed and I still do. But not to the point that I would take it by force from someone who has earned it.
If you are treated like you can do no wrong then you think that nothing you do is your fault. And if you have had the trauma of doing with far less than you need to for long enough then when you get more than you need you may still think that you have yo have more in case the wheel ever turns again. Those are the two most common reasons for greed that I have found. But they are not good reasons.

It is amazing how much I save just on gas by not going to work.

I have enough space for a smithing shop I think, but four bedrooms is way over my range of rooms. A smith would probably do well around here, some horses and lots of people that like wrought iron.

Btw, re Ravens - if they ever leave the Tower Of London the British Monarchy falls. They left in 1647 and we had the Civil War where the King was captured and executed in 1649. You treat them to proper British hospitality, serve them tea & biscuts, and help them see the error of their ways.

The good thing about the dark side is it helps you think the way your enemies might. If you can think like them then you can out think them. The English( more properly Welch) bow men took the field at agincourt not because they had better armor than the French or that they had better combatants, not even close to the same numbers... they just stood and made the French try and march horses over a muddy field and picked them off in scores. Henry would have had a much different life if he had let his men try to go toe to toe with the massive French army that day.

I assume this means that your mission was successful and the "enemy" was caught unprepared for creative soldiering? Great work!!

Oh I'm pretty sure the 4 room thing is a must. We have to many hobbies that take up space. Like leather work(much needed for knives), sewing, metal work, and the child or hopefully children will have to sleep somewhere. It would be nice to have a small office for the wife too but that's more rooms. I have not worked with horses but I'd be willing to learn. I do like them and most animals tend to like me.

Helping others with wisdom is often a form of penance in it's self. CG may know a thing or two about that. Personally I'll pretend I'm to shallow to understand all of that higher thinking stuff. If you think I have nerve now you should see what I can do in private.
I like to think of it as buying the cow and teaching others how to milk it, so they will bring me some of the milk and use the rest for themselves.
Also cows make good steaks, and as SF may say one cow can feed a lot of people.
